Retrofitting lumbar support

I realise some have done this themselves but I'm not confident and don't really have the time so I'm looking for recommendations for a company that could carry this out from anyone that's had this done.
Thanks

It couldn't be a simpler mod. Pull the plastic seat back down and off. Insert the plastic lumbar bag behind the wire seat frame. Re fit seat back. Literally a 5 minute job.

I've even got spare replacement plastic pins that retain the seat back if you PM me as you will damage them removing the seat back.

Honestly can't remember. It was a race parts company of some kind. If you search the forum, then google, I'm sure something will come up.

So does it come with the four way control switch and then you code it? What about the seat bolsters?

No, it's a much simpler mid. Basically a strong pvc bladder, rubber tube and rubber bulb to inflate the bladder by hand. There's a release valve to deflate it.

Purely lumbar support; no bolsters.

So you have to set the bladder in place?

As on the electronic version you can move the bladder up and down.

Yes you place the bladder and it remains fixed there - it's a 15 minute job to do (faster if you wanted) and a lot cheaper than retrofitting the OEM (but not quite as good)

Seems much easier than doing a genuine retrofit!
I've even started searching breakers for a replacement seat as I figured they might cut a deal with mine as a part ex but nothing around at the moment.
Will have a look around for a new bladder

I would love to retrofit electric adjustable seats, not bothered about memory settings. Anyone know a place that can do this? Only really bothered about drivers seat too.

I have bought the inflatable bag but not fitted it yet. I had researched how to do it. You also need a plastic A4 folder cover and put that between the springs and the bladder. That way, when you inflate the bladder it pushes against the plastic folder cover and inflates into your back rather than inflating through the springs...if you get what I mean.

See these pictures. The bladder would go behind it like it does with the electrically operated ones. The flaps on the card hold it in place on the springs. I have just got to work out how to attach the bladder to the plastic card so that it doesn't move. There is a rim around the bladder with holes in that could be used to secure it to the card by some means. You would only secure one side though (like the original electric one is only secured to the card at the top and hangs down)

Just to say the F30 seat back when uncovered does not look like that, but the principle is spot on.

Yes I know it is not an F30 seat as it is just an internet picture but you get the idea.

Did you do it with a backing card or did you just put the infatable bag behind the springs? If yoy did, did you secure the bag to the card? I haven't got round to doing mine yet so just wondering.

No backing card, just inserted behind the springs and secured using a couple of mini cable ties to hold in position

This is really interesting. Is it available in the states and can it be used with heated seats?

Yip fitted it with my heated seats no problem. Think that you could just find a Corbeau seat dealer & they should be able to supply or just try https://www.corbeau-seats.com/ they do international shipping.

Hi i have bought one of these corbeau lumbar support pads and am planning on installing on an f30 lci model. My questions is how do you route the inflation tube and bulb? i cant visualise how they will exit the bottom of the seat once the seat back is put back on. Can anyone tell me or put up a pic of the exit path for the inflation tube & bulb. Any help much appreciated.

Thanks
