Hey guys, I am picking up a 2017 440i xdrive GC in a couple of days. Switching my 2016 F80 M3 for it as I don't feel the need to have a M anymore since I don't drive it like a M and it's not the most comfortable ride. The fun factor only lasts a short while and rarely when you get a chance to give it some go. So at the end of the day I feel like I am not justifying it so thought about stepping down and was looking at 340's and came across the 440 and have put a deposit down on a MG version.

The options it has are the premium package essentials, m performance package and m performance package II. I purposed picked this at the dealer as it has the MPP II on it and it was the only one. Others had full premium packages, drivers assist and apple play but I rather have the exhaust I feel and more power. Just to not feel like it was a substantial drop from M3 even in the fun department but a gain in comfort department from what i read.

Now I am wondering I keep hearing talking of pre-facelift and facelift versions, how do I figure out which one is mine? Presumably production date? Where can I check production date of mine? The dealership I am dealing with is actually a 12 hour drive away and I haven't seen any pictures or anything and I am heading out in a two weeks time. I know the 2017's have the new engine where there any other changes as well? I understand the LED and stuff is standard now and it's not an option I am missing?

Am I going to regret missing out on any options that this one doesn't have? Should I not be giving up the full premium pack for MPP II pack? Just curious about what you GC veterans think. Anything else to know?
