442M Powder Coating - photos wanted!

Hi all,

So my undamaged (warranty replacement) 442M wheels are again starting to corrode around the centre caps, and I'm now fully out of warranty. BMW have previously said they would *discuss* yet again a like for like replacement (now with a cost) , but it isn't solving the root cause. Therefore I'm going to get them powder coated, but I need some inspiration as to what colour to choose etc.

Does anyone have any 442M powder coated photos that they can share?

I've searched and found the old Chrome shaded suggestions in this post from a few years ago, but I've never seen photos from anyone that actually had theirs painted. Also I've read the good insights from Alloyboy, but I need help to decide.

So come on fellow 442M'ers, dig out your handy work!!

Not the best angle, but Black Anthracite (and only £30 a corner!)

There's a place nearby me called We Restore Alloys that do a shadow chrome which looks really similar.

Yep it's a powder coat, done at The Wheel Specialist. Didn't want to go via the Diamond Cut route again having seen first hand just how flimsy they are so hoping the powder coat will be much more durable.

Shadow Chrome / Flash Chrome are very similar.

The wheels are painted black and then over sprayed with silver to give extra depth to the finish. It's no diamond cut but is a fairly good alternative IMO.
