It seems like a lot of folks are bringing their cars to the dealer for this issue when it seems like something you can easily do at home?

I believe my car has the exact issue that's being described, but I looked through the entire thread and wasn't able to find a useful video showing the sound (a lot of the videos couldn't be played). People keep saying it's a buzzing sound while accelerating, but to me it sounds more like a rattle. Any links to videos with the sound? I tried recording one earlier but wasn't able to reproduce it.

Hey I actually have the same buzzing noise on my m135i.
Any updates on what could be the problem?

Are you referring to the significantly louder noise in the the beginning of your video? Similar to this video right at the beginning:

That’s the noise I just started getting is it the same as what’s mentioned in this thread?

Any chance this also affects 440i engines (N58?), I have a rattle in my dash area too that is unsolved and this seems it could explain it

Hi everyone,

Same problem listed by OP (rattle sound between 2000 and 3000RPM with light throttle).

After doing some research I found the TSB online here listed with part numbers:
https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...47979-9999.pdf

I zip tied some weight to the hose and it fixed the noise so I went ahead and
ordered OEM parts from ECS Tuning:
https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...t/64539322952/

I'm getting thing delivered next week to fix it definitely.

My car is a 2013 F30 335i and only had the upper damper kit (not lower)

Hey guys I can't hear anything from inside my car, but when my gf was driving by me from a stop whenever the gas pedal is pressed there's a slight rattle for a second which disappears after 1,400 Rpm. It does not occur with the a/c off at all. Would this be the same problem ???
Car is a 14 late build.
Thanks for the help!

Might be the belt tensioner. Had similar symptoms, replaced the tensioner and the noise is gone. I had my gf feather the throttle while I looked under the hood and sure enough, the tensioner wiggled in conjunction with the rattling noise. Depending on your mileage, you might want to consider replacing the belt, tensioner and idler pulley all at the same time as preventative maintenance. They're available in kits.

I have a 2014 F30 320d, from Portugal.

I might have the same problem as you guys. When i turn on the climate control, I start hearing a weird sound from the engine. When i turn the blower off, 4 secs later it stops.

Im worried because i don't even need to turn on the A/C. I just turn on the fan blower.

Heres a video of the sound.

The a/c hose on my car is a bit different than what I see on here. A bit more thick. Don't know if it vibrates..
Hi fifthelement89

Hi, same from 430D in Spain... did you solve the issue? BMW is telling to me taht is something related to injectors, but I am 100% sure is not... The noise is traveling till the evaporator, but I dont know how it's possible, my be the AC compressor? a refill of the A/C is my next try, and also try to find the official bulletin for the 430D weights possition in the low pressure hose.

Here a sample of my noise (better with headphones)
