I'm interested. I've done Bedford in both an M4 and and RCZ-R, would be interesting taking my own car round.

I'd be interested in this. I wonder if anyone else from the NE would be interested in heading down with me.

It will be like that Norfolk coffee and conversation day, but with a bit of midlife crisis speed in-between the Americanos!

Book it mate!

Well, let's see how my PS4/G29 skills will translate in the real world
Are you allowed to overtake and race other drivers? I'm happy about the lack of barriers but will probably be worried about other drivers getting too close
It's very well mashalled. You can only overtake on the straights, not in corners, and you're not supposed to even time your laps, although with modern phones/cameras (which you're allowed) it's obviously hard not to!

I bought the BMW drive analyser, which is really good - it plugs into your OBD port and gives you everything from fuel consumption to lap times, overlaid onto 1080p dashcam footage. The management said this was fine, as long as I didn't activately monitor laps, which I didn't, but was fun to download afterwards and view!

will probably need to remove the de-cat before booking, heard Bedford have the strictest noise limits.

You can keep the valves shut in sport mode with BM3 if it is too loud

I'm at Anglesey on 15th September in my F31 35d. Stage 2 / ACS lowering springs with xHP stage 3 gearbox software. Should be interesting.

Will get some braided hoses and uprated brake fluid in. The car does feel a bit understeary when pushing on in corners sometimes so potentially an m140i RARB going on.

I can tell you now that you'll need a new set of front tyres afterwards!

Anglesey is very abrasive, and heavy cars with big engines over the front axle torture their front tyres there. With my M4, Even after fitting camber plates with close to 3 degrees of camber, cup2s with 265 profile up front, I still struggled to do more than a few laps before the tyres were going off.

It's a brilliant track though! I can't wait to take the GT4 there.

Haha excellent can’t wait. Just want to take the 335d on track and see how good or shockingly bad it is. M3 & 182 Trophy staying at home lol

Yes, having tracked my 335d extensively, prior to my M4, I look back and just wonder what I was thinking! That's with coilovers and a big brake kit. It's nowhere near as fun, and it just feels like abuse driving a big heavy car fast around Bedford.

I'm very tempted with this and it's just down the road..
It would be good to put some faces/cars to names too.

340i MPPSK or 130i ?

My wife has convinced me to do the same : so I'm probably going to be doing an M4 Master experience at Brands hatch instead.
I did the M4 master experience at Bedford and enjoyed it. Although everyone else there was like, "Why are you here when you own one?" :
Obviously not into BMWs, so could t tell the difference lol

Just those not having done a track day before a generally accepted rule at trackdays that each driver is responsible for damage to their own car, whoever caused it.

Track day insurance only covers your own car, not any third party.

I've only ever taken the 340 on track twice and that was only because there was something wrong with my Clio mid way through the day. It felt fast but my god could you feel the weight, never again.

I get that - smashing a race prepared Clio around a track last year was lots of fun, like a big go cart. But it does bottom out so early, reminded me of my old Citroen AX GT in the early 90s. And yes, our F3Xs are behemoths in comparison, but I've honestly enjoyed tracking my 340i more - you can only use the B58 power in such limited doses on the road. Horses for courses I guess.

Took my F31 round my local track last week, really shows her weight when you start motoring, could only do about 5ish hot laps before the brakes started to give up!

Overall though, pretty impressed with the PS4S tyres, Really compliant and let you know progressively when they were starting to go off.
