Turbo inlet pipe replacement - N55

A few weeks ago I cracked my turbo inlet pipe and crankcase vent while replacing my valve cover. The vent pipe was a very easy diy with any quality vent hose and reusing both ends of the old hose along with the heat sheath. After watching several vids I was hesitant on doing the turbo inlet pipe myself. I ordered the CTS inlet $152 and took to my local Indy which quoted 4 hrs or about $500. I opted to rent a lift space and was surprised how easy it was to replace. The 335i GT must have a bit more room and I could easily get to the 10mm with a 1/4” - 12” extension and swivel. The CTS has a separate metal flange so it’s easy to get the new inlet back in. For anyone looking to upgrade or replace the inlet, it may be easier than you think. Took about 2 hrs start - finish.
