I've been going back and forth with Eurocharged for the past few weeks and we haven't been able to dial in a proper tune. So I ended up switching to BM3 last week. I have a base BM3 file loaded, so I'll be taking it to a local dyno and tuning shop soon to tune it via the BM3 platform, It should be a much smoother process. I'll keep you guys posted! Hopefully it'll finally make some power!

If you're doing BM3, I would tune with Cary Jordan. Everyone I've known that has tune with him loves the results. https://www.facebook.com/carythelabelguy

I feel your pain man, i have open requests on bm3 for a tune for months with no response, tried big boost llc, halim hcperformance 3x, and epd motorsports, still waiting for a response, local tuners don't want to touch it 😂 but i found one local bmw tuner that has offered to do some dynos and when he gets a feel for the car he said he would give it ago tuning, so far im running a stage 2 bm3 tune... Keep us posted mate! Likewise i will too🙂

If its any help mate yo get your tune rolling, make a support request for bm3 through pro tuning freaks bm3 website and get ahold of halim, state your engine mods and ask for a HC performance custom, tune, this is first hand info from Halim from HC performance as he's too busy to reply to his personal email for custom tunes and he doesn't respond anymore to custom tune requests, i have now got v1 of my e85 stage 3 map, will be flashing and logging this weekend. Considering how close our builds are i would assume he would just copy and paste the tune and tweak for the individual differences.

i'm glad i have found this post as i have just hit the problem with the rods hitting the block, i am using Carrillo pistons but the rods are a different make but it seems they are quite big and hit the bottom of the cylinder. i now know i have to get it machined which is not something i was expecting to have done as am rebuilding my engine at home.

I am looking for to strength my engine also, i know one garage has done this before, they tune a 328i to WHP 409.

I have talked to the tuner and seems that is quite easy to them, they must have done lots of this work.
I have a 328Li, and i am thinking of strength the internals, or just put a bigger turbo and other parts but leave the engine alone.
Wish you the best

Hey man, when i had that issue, i used a fine metal file to cut a square into the bottom of the cylinder, i had a machine shop check my diy work and approved it was fine here is a link to a photo of my groove, basically i kept filing until the rods cleared the cylinder being careful not to score or damage any other part of the cylinder wall.

Also if you're after more info regarding a DIY home build of the N20 head over to my post

I have some news. I got the car up and running well. I was able to get it tuned remotely by twisted tuning. With the Pure stage 2, the car wasn't producing more power by adding more boost above 27psi. It was most comfortable around 300whp. If I was going to get anywhere near 400+, I would've had to go with a custom turbo setup, and I didn't want to spend more on the car. Soooo... I actually sold the car lol I stayed with BMW but got an m340.

Yeah, bro, that is a lot of work. How do you like the m340? I am looking to get out of the N26 myself within the next couple years, just trying to be somewhat responsible with money haha.

Nice... that's an upgrade I'm sure we'd all like to make, congrats.

Sad to see you go man😭, thats an awfully low power figure considering a few guys running manual Transmissions on stock engines (rod bolt upgrade) and 24psi get 385whp, i assume you have Auto? Its a shame because BM3 only just released their transmission flash for the N20 and xHP have stated an August release date, which will help tuned N20s running the ZF box, these lil 4 bangers are extremely Torquey. The car in Brazil that made 382whp made 621nm of torque theres just no way the ZF box would allow that without the TCUs torque limiter increased from 550nm in 1,2,4,5,7,8 & 450nm in 3 & 6.

Anyways enjoy the 340! B58 is mental!
