Not a clue, might have to hit google for that one.

Yah, definitely dyno-able, not sure how to do it though. There might not even be a dyno mode. Maybe you just strap it to the rollers and go.

The dyno mode applies to Xdrive vehicles to disable front axle incase awd rollers aren't available. Its done in the cluster. Youtube bmw f series dyno mode.

Very interesting. Definitely makes sense for AWD vehicles.

E30 is just a 3:1, 93:85 mixture... 3 Gallons 93, for every 1 Gallon of E85.

not sure if the OP found his answer but I did - here is a gentleman who has compared how a piggyback tune and a flash tune match up on the N20 engine -

I'm in that same post, just above the guy who compared bm3 / piggyback / stock. My 328xi with the front drive shaft disconnected and a VRSF charge pipe put down 249.8 whp and 302 lb/ft of torque on bm3 stage 1 93 octane.

I did a dyno months ago using jb+ at 4psi and now I have bootmod3 stage 2 93 oct. Even though the car feels way smoother with bm3 my car was definitely way faster with the jb+. The jb+ dyno was done on a awd mustang dyno 262 awhp 294 awtq. A dynojet conversion of 11% = 290 awhp and 326 awtq.

I did the dinan piggyback initially, and now im running bm3 91acn stage1, even though the dinan on race setting was strong, the smoothness, consistency and extra features of bm3 totally made up for it. Its good for us f30 owners that we have various options depending on how we want to mod.

doesn't surprise me - here is another gentleman that tested a Turbo Transformer piggyback and BM3 on the dyno - the piggyback made more power and was actually a smoother dyno pull than the BM3 also. Not knocking BM3, I was actually planning on getting one until I saw this - now I am wondering if it would be really worth it to upgrade.

In your dyno sheet, what happened at 5000-ish rpm when there is a sharp dip? Is that the DME reacting to something (knock perhaps)?

JB4 or JB+ can make good power if you have the octane, the issue is they tell the ECU it has lower boost, as the ECU run speed density at higher loads, the ECU thinks the load is lower then it really is and therefore it runs more aggressive timing and AFR then it would normally at the load your really at

lets say the stock ECU would normally target 9 degrees at 200 load, but at 150 load it targets 14 degrees, you end up targeting 14 degrees of timing at 200 load, that is similar to an OTS BM3 e30 tune!

however if you do not have the octane, then things start to go bad with a lot of timing corrections and even broken pistons.......

So just know, the most boost you apply with a piggy back, the more aggressive timing you effectively apply, so make sure your fuel is appropriate for what that timing is, log it, check for timing correction, and if you see more then a few per 3rd gear ramp run back it off

also need to watch your AFR and trims, if you trims reach >35-40%, I would not go higher then that either, and fi you AFT is pegged at >14 also be more careful with your fuel as well as you will be much more prone knock
