How to Use Profiles to Save Settings for Second Driver?

I'm trying to set up our car for my wife with her own remote, but I'm unsure how the remotes and profiles interact. How can I use my profile "L" as a starting point, make adjustments for her, then save the profile for her remote only as "M" without disturbing my settings used when I drive using my remote?

Here's what I'd like to do:
--Start with my current settings saved in my profile called "L"
--Make adjustments for her with only her remote in the car
--Save her own profile, calling it "M"
--Ensure that my profile stays intact when I drive with my remote
--Have her profile "M" get called up automatically when she drives using her remote

Scrap previous ... faster option:

- Open with her remote
- Load your profile via iDrive
--Make adjustments for her
--Save her own profile, calling it "M"
- close with her remote = Have her profile "M" get called up automatically when she drives using her remote

Unfortunately, I'm not sure there is a way to modify a current user's settings and save then as a separate profile. I just created a new profile (for my wife) and adjusted everything to her exacting standards. I think Sonny's advice that you start from scratch might be good advice.

And as slick as it is having individual settings remembered by individual fobs, the reality is that most of the time my wife drives my car I'm a passenger and she uses my fob. I've found that by assigning her profile to one of my preset buttons (#8) and assigning my profile to one of her preset buttons (also #8) makes it really easy to swap: When she takes over the wheel, she just presses #8 and calls up her settings. When I take the wheel again, I just press [her profile's] #8 and my settings are returned. Really nice if you are taking turns driving.

I know I could do it that way, but I was hoping I could use my profile as a starting point and then just make a few adjustments for her, then save the profile as "M".

That's a slick way of doing it when you're both using the same fob.

I did something similar that worked.

--Opened car with her remote
--Deselected existing "L" profile and selected "----" as the profile
--Imported my "L" profile
--Selected imported "L" profile (profile list now showing 2 "L" profiles)
--Renamed imported "L" profile as "M"

Her remote now selects the "M" profile when car is unlocked. Game, set, match!
