Hi. I have fitted an Android 9.0 (10.25inch) screen for my 2013 F30 car with CIC unit. From reading the various posts I notice that if I have HU_CIC I cannot upgrade to a higher (non Android) display. Everything is working fine after installing the Android display. However on the original BMW side the image looks stretched on the Android 10.25 screen. Is there any way to code the car to a 8.8 display for a CIC car? Appreciate inputs and suggestions. Thanks.

If you don't want a stretched screen and would like to use an OEM display, you will need to change the head unit to any of these. ENTRYNAV and ENTRYNAV2 can be coded to use the 8.8" screen and NBT and NBTEVO can use them natively.

Hey gurus, I recently bought an 8.8 touchscreen (part number 8709339) for NBT2 and ran into a weird behaviour. The screen turns off after awhile or doesn’t turn on at all when starting the car. The screen is just blank, resetting doesn’t help. Radio and everything else still works.

When the screen works it works great.

In ISTA I see the following error:
No communication to CID

Any suggestions on troubleshooting?

What car do you have and when was it manufactured?

I have preLCI f30 05/2015 with Entrynav and navigation on borad.
On specific od car there is a 0606 navigation system business.
And have a question.
The preLCI screen 9292248 fit info my car but the question, the LCI screen 9387453 will fit info my car ?
Some people say somethink about diffrent voltage.
Dont want BLUETINT. Thats why i want LCI screen

i am trying to get my F21 from 7/2014 running with entdynav2 id6 65128798036 with a F15 APIX2 65506816387 display.
The radio turns on (there is music playing), but on the display I only see "NO SIGNAL".

The following coded:
CID_APIX_MODE -> apix2
CID_COLOR_DEPTH -> 24
CID_COM_MODE -> mii
CID_RESOLUTION -> 1440 x 540
CID_DISPLAY_SIZE > 10_25
DISPLAY_VARIANTE = breites_display

maybe it worked on somebody?

Hallo everyone, I'm F31 2016y owner with base multimedia which is hu_entrynav with 6.5 inch screen. I have replaced with 8.8 inch with number 9281688 which is superseded on realoem to all F30 F31s till 2017y. The screen won't start up before I coded with BMWai codder. Display starts when I put display variant to breites_display without changing the resolution because Icoder don't have this option. I used BMWaicodder because E- sys is too difficult for me. The problem is that my 8.8 inch display is not enough brightness It is like unfocused. If I change somehow the resolution of the display could this be the solution of the problem?

Hi, I'm new to this form. about half an hour a go i did learn alot about bimmercode and coded my car aswell.
I have an android screen which is 10.25" it works perfect but the BMW idrive system has small screen it doesn't look good. can someone help me with what code I need to increase the screen resolution size (display size).
i have a bmw f30 320d auto 2014 and the head unit is CIC (on bimmercode it display hu_cic) it's got built in satnav.

The code i found is for NBT unit

Screen Swap then code code:

HU_NBT > 3000 HMI > DISPLAY_SIZE_RESOLUTION = 8.8_1280x480
HU_NBT > 3001 EXBOX > DISPLAY_VARIANTE = breites_display

But for my unit I don"t have the display size resolution.

can anyone help me with the code how to make the screen size bigger for CIC head unit

I am not sure what to do now, i have coded it correctly with bimmercode, and i get the same resultat. Added a photo aswell.

Did you code the resolution change too? Most of us didn't have to, but check what it is set to

You have entrynav2 then probably. You would need a different screen. I think there have been posts in this thread about that. Just look through

I believe it's 65506822626 for your car, but you should confirm on real oem

Yes, i tried all 3 of the resolustions (6.5/8.8/10.25) They all made the same result.

don't have a good solution for you then. it seems like the other people who posted about the same issue never got it fixed and tried a different screen. did you buy the pre lci or lci screen?

i guess it wouldn't hurt to take it out and reconnect the cable to the screen and head unit
