Sway bar bushing ??

Hi guys, I have clunky noise from front suspension so replaced track rods and drop links. But noise still there when going through speed bumps or drain covers/potholes.
Spoke to mechanic today and he said that I should replays also sway bar bushes. So I try to order power flex one but not sure what diameter is my sway bar ...does anyone know? My f32 is 430d rear wheel drive.
Would appreciate any help .

I would be 100% sure the bushes are damaged before attempting to replace them as just getting to them is a HUGE job due to needing to drop the subframe. Easiest way to check would be to disconnect the sway bar from the endlinks/struts and see if you can wiggle the bar to create noise (while the front of the car is in the air).

If you do need to replace them, well you can see my video below on what's required. It won't be a cheap job.

Hi , thank you for replay for my question. It's definitely big job ( great movie &#128077 . I will double check if they actually need to be replaced. Just fed up cos don't know what else can do this clunky noise. Was 1000% sure it's gonna be drop links and changed for Meyle HD but no different.

If you do spend the labor, upgrade the sway bars. Massive improvement that will dramatically reduce body roll. H&R sway bars are what I'd recommend

Do them make them for x drive as well? I believe I may have the same issue as op constant clicking over low speed bumps and tiny ones in the road all suspension components checked and tightened up just started happening.

Yes they make them for xDrive as well. I installed them on my car and it was a huge job but 100% satisfied now.

Yes. I have an XDrive and sway bars are the best suspension mod that I've done. Body roll is gone and my car corners flat! And I didn't have to bugger up my ride by adding harsh stiff springs, shocks or coilovers just to control body roll.

Sure, if the body roll is the only problem. However, I experience too weak shocks/loose springs with Xdrive and then there's only one way to fix that. For us X-drivers it's good to remember that stiffening the front end calls for understeering. But maybe H&R sway bar hits just the sweet spot...?

I installed Koni Special Active Shocks with Eibach springs. Excellent balance with the sway bars
