I had to buy compete led strips. My car came without ambient lightning at all. Even a basic roof ligt. I retrofitted everything.

There made from clear frosted plastic, the plastic has an even frosting throughout defusing the light more evenly. No bright spots or imperfections 3d printing brings. More of an OEM look.

Well, my son used my 3-D printed ones as light sabers and they are destroyed. If these pop up here, let me know!

I was able to install them despite the damage. Not bad! The light transmittance isn't bad, but it's not perfect when you look up close. The shorter ones meant for the rear actually fit better up front in my M3 CS. The long ones are too long and extend over the sections where the ambient lights end, so it doesn't light up that area. It looks much better lighting up the whole bar even if the bar doesn't extend all the way across the door panel. I don't have a pic with the white sport light, but here it is with the classic light:

3 doors are lighting up, but the right back door is not lighting up.

Update: parked on the roof the other day while the sun was out. At the end of the day the inserts had become so hot that they became soft and partially came off the doors. They now have a permanent bend in them and are useless. These are the printed ones, not the solid ones.
