What gear for Dyno? BM3, FBO, EWG, 93, 335i XDrive 8AT

Headed to the dyno and was curious what gear I should be doing the pulls in. My car is a 2014 335i XDrive EWG 8AT. Thanks!

I thought 5th gear for the 8AT as it has 8 speeds and 4th was for 6MT cars

I just looked at the gear ratios for the 8AT and 6th is the 1:1 ratio, but I would hit the speed limiter before redline. Would it not make sense to do pulls in 5th since it would be the closest gear to the 1:1 ratio without hitting the speed limiter?

You guys are right, 6 is 1:1 yet many people use 5th.

4th is for MT

Manuals Dyno in 5th
Auto usually in 4th

You wont hit speed limiter since you have BM3 (delimiter)

What I tell everyone is do your first pull in 5th, 2nd pull in 4th, and decide from there.
I've made 4 pulls in 5th, 4 pulls in 4th with little difference. Plus 4th gear will heatsoak less

I'm probably getting a baseline dyno soon (hopefully on a Dynojet) before flashing BM3 later this year. Never ran a dyno before so I'm looking to see if I should run 4th or 5th gear. F32 435i, N55 EWG, RWD, 8AT.

Also, Sport+ or DSC off?
STD Smoothing 5?

Just to follow up, I took a baseline dyno yesterday.

No problems using:
-DSC off
-Manual mode
-5th gear
-Told the dyno operator to be careful not to hit the kickdown switch on the gas pedal. This will cause an unwanted downshift even in manual mode.

I was ready to enter the "secret dyno mode", but it wasn't necessary. In case anyone needs it, here's how:
Doors closed
Ignition On
Clear messages on dash (BC button)
Hold dash reset buttton
Press button to 03
Hold DSC Off
Hold dash reset button
Press dash reset button to confirm
Start engine
Sport+
Shift to Drive
Shift left to Sport Mode
Tap left paddle shifter to Manual Mode
