Changing Charge Pipe?

Just installed JB+, 2016, n20 engine at 80K. Do I need to worry about changing my charge pipe, have heard a few stories with blown ones, but those are because of higher boost and more advanced tuning. What are your thoughts?

not required, but it is recommended to upgrade your charge pipe if you tune your car.

Stage 2 for 15k miles here on all stock charged air piping. So far so good. YMMV

in my experience not really, but it'll help with the flow of air as the sock pipe can flex easily, and its a piece of mind upgrade. when you change your intercooler to battle excess heat, it'll be worth it.

Do I really need to change the intercooler? It's 60s F year round where I live.

if you go anything higher than jb+ (its less than a stage 1 tune from bm3) you will want to to avoid heat soak. Stage 1 works great with bm3/jb4 with just a downpipe, but anything more will need an intercooler to avoid the car from pulling timing and getting heat soak. adding power is addcitve

I recommend changing the charge pipes as soon as tune the car.

I think the charge pipes are a bigger issue on the inline 6s. But for what it's worth, the first thing I did to my car after I got BM3 was to change the charge pipes on both intake and turbo side.
