Weird Starting Issue

I'm starting to experience some start issues with my f30 328i. When I would start my car in the mornings it would start no problem but I'm starting to experience issues where when I would leave work to go for lunch or to go home i would try to start my car but it would crank for about 3 seconds finally start sounding really rough and it would be at around 6-800 rpms. So the issue I've noticed is when I would leave my car sitting for a couple of hours and then try to start it would act up. Has this happened to anyone? Or know how to fix it? No CEL is present either

Thanks, I checked my battery it seems good. I replaced the ignition coils and I'm gonna see if that changes anything!

Did you run a load test on your battery?

I’m shocked at how so many people get so many years out of their batteries. I make it maybe 5 years.

Ever find the issue?

Does the rough idle jump around then stabilise?

Mine does this after a warm restart - once driven, cooled then started up. I believe it's the servo valvetronic motor as I've heard mine clicking a few times as it moves the valve lift back to min/max start position.

I have no fault for this either, the car sometimes stalls then stats up. All very strange

I brought it to BMW, the issue was the external ambient temp sensor. It was reading that it was -50 outside on the starts and it was dumping too much fuel to the injectors
