X1 M35i Announced

https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/n...hp-%C2%A345995

Seems almost reasonable at £46k given the price of things.

Wasn't long ago a local dealer here was trying to shift an M Sport X1 for £54k

Really looks lovely. Not sure on “diluting” the M brand with quad exhausts etc.

I guess they have nicked all the styling ques from the full fat M on to the M Lites already...just as long as they are not like VAG/Merc fakery rubbish.

Does indeed start at £46k.

Best part about this car is the
M Compound brake option, 19 inch!!

There’s some trickle-down styling going on down ranges I suspect. For the X3 range at least, the fat rhomboid tailpipes are now standard on models below the M-lites, which in turn have picked up the full fat M wing mirrors. It makes (some) sense to align M/-lite and make them visually similar.

Indeed…where does M go from here though?
Do you recall the last gen M4 CS or CSL getting M stripe seat belts? About one qtr later the 118i MSport had them 😂😂
