Best wheel brand for bmw?

Looking into a new set of wheels, looking for 19" staggered. What are the best brands to look at that dont necessarily go into the HRE price category?

"Best" is a subjective term. There is no right or weong answer to that. You need to do research and find out what's best for you. There are probably hundreds of options out there, if not more. It comes down to what's your preference.

It really depends on your budget and expectations..... I think the general consensus is to NOT cheap out on wheels and tires, as they have a significant impact on how the car drives, as well as safety reasons.

I would recommend checking out OEM rims on the classified section of this forum.

APEX wheels are popular among the e9x and f3x community.

Very budget friendly, strong and lightweight wheels. Many people use apex as a track set.

I've had APEX wheels on my car for the past 4 years and would choose them again for my next car (G20 M340i).

Not all BMW wheels are created equal though - ie Ronal vs BBS. Looks aside purely from a quality perspective even a $250-300 aftermarket BBS or Apex rim is better than an OEM wheel made by Ronal.

Damn I forgot about those and was never a fan of the Ronal's at all. Do they even still make them for BMW except for those shitty 17's? I suppose it depends on what stock wheel they have!

I know the 235/240 wheels were made by them and I would have had fewer bent rims if my 3-year old nephew made me a set out of tin foil.

If you're talking under $400 per wheel I'd say BBS SR or SX for a 17" then that or anything from Apex for 18/19". Beyond that you're getting into show beyond go which never interested me much so I didn't dig into them.

Makes me wonder if they also made wheels for GM/Cadillac on the 2013-2014 MY as I had three cracked rims all within a year before giving up on them. Couldn't find anything out there but whoever makes them would be better off using your nephew and the tin foil!

Go for the BMW wheels, specifically, M Double Spoke 442 — 19''

Whatever you get... a good rule of thumb is to go for low pressure cast or flow formed wheels. Stay away from gravity cast wheels as they're the heaviest and not necessarily the strongest depending on how the wheel is designed.

A lot of folks in this thread have recommended VMR but AFAIK, their Luxury line VMR wheels are all gravity cast wheels. They do however have a Flow Formed line.

I would stay with BMW branded wheels and for a close second I would recommend BBS Mahle if you can find them. They were once BMW's OEM wheel supplier. Good wheels. Good luck.
