Here's some old logs from the first time I flashed to Stage 2 to compare.

That first log looks a little low on boost still, but the second one looks perfect. Hitting targets as well as one could reasonably expect, that's awesome! It looks a ton better. It still might not be a bad idea to get a pressure test done to make sure everything is buttoned up, but I wouldn't be surprised if it came up clean by the looks of that last log.

So lets say the pressure test shows everything is clean (no leaks). Do you think it would be something PTF can tweak in the tune?

Well if the pressure test comes up clean and the logs keep looking like that, then there's nothing to tweak, she's running well.

Either way fate_f30 a faulty DV is a great place to look. I'm glad D041987 brought it up, because I wouldn't have thought to look at the DV critically other than if it was leaking air out into the atmosphere, not that it was just straight up not operating correctly...
Correct, unless it’s leaking around a seal or something. Nonetheless, it would be wise to unhook the recirculation portion.

I’ve never done a pressure test on a recirculating valve though, I wonder if you can at least hear the leak with the recirc hose on.

A leak can cause the DV to not open correctly because it does not see the correct amount of psi to open the valve to recirculate the air back into the turbo to keep it on boil. Instead it keeps it closed wanting the car to make more boost/ psi in the charge system and when you lift off the gas, the throttle plate closes and that air is forced backwards because it cannot go into the engine, causing the chop chop aka STU STU STUFFF/ aka flutter. It sounds cool but it's not efficient.

There is one other possibility of issues if all checks out and that will be the boost solenoid valve which controls the entire turbo/ boost assembly. But lets see what the pressure test shows up Monday.
Oh yeah. Any high PSI liftoff and/or flutter while still on the throttle is definitely bad. I only ever get my flutter if I'm in a high gear (for that speed), and do a quick blip of acceleration and liftoff.

A flutter is normally the opposite of a leak, it’s the valve not opening. What opens the valve is vacuum, not pressure. Pressure is actually what keeps it closed.

If you’re not hitting boost and there are no leaks, it’s either an error in the tune of the wastegate duty cycle, or the turbo simply can’t physically hold boost. I’m betting it’s the tune if there are no leaks.

Yeah, but in our case with the DV+, it's just the tougher spring. I'd be surprised if it's the tune but weirder things have happened.

Update: Shop said no boost leak found. DV looks good to.

Ran a few more logs (suggested by the shop I went to) for PTF to analyze on the OTS Stage 2 93 map.

1. Cold start idle for 1 minute
2. Standing gradual Rev from 2k - 6.5K
3. 3 gear pull at 3K to WOT switching into 4th gear
4. WOT Auto 60-100pmh

Sent logs off to PTF. Everything looks just about dialed in but they made a small adjustment in my tune. Unfortunately, I tried to flash the new map but I was getting a server error multiple times. I'm currently in queue waiting for support. LOL!

Well good thing there's no leaks. I'm thinking the logs will look good and that you'll be all set honestly, because one of recent past logs you posted looks spot on. Let us know what PTF says.

Your peak boost should rise a bit when it gets colder too.

On another note, seems I have a coolant leak somewhere. Nothing apparently obvious it seems. Takes about a month for it to generate a light. I'm thinking maybe either a bad hose, radiator, or maybe the heating element. No vapor from the tailpipe and nothing in the oil from what I can see.

Hope it's something easy What made you notice it? (If by light you mean low coolant warning, disregard lol)

Curious because I've been noticing a bit of vapor from the exhaust, not at start or anything but when it's idling (maybe when driving, but I can't exactly tell when I'm driving the car) after it's all warmed up, or after arriving home from a drive. Very minor and dissipates immediately.

It’s probably just condensation if it’s only a little coming from the exhaust.

That's what I think too, I just would've thought condensation would go away after it's warmed up.

Indeed my friend. Anyone in here running meth in their n20/26? I wonder what upgrades it would entail or if it could be done?

It can be done easily. It will just need a tune. You just need a meth kit and a tune.

Be careful with who you choose as a tuner. Many tuners don’t have a lot of experience with meth and either tune it poorly or try to stray you away from running meth. Meth is amazing though.

IssaF32 is running meth on a E50 tune right now. Has a Snow Performance once I believe. It's a really nice setup.

Also, for the coolant leak, we found it this weekend. It's leaking from the coolant temperature sensor on the radiator. Since the sensor comes with the radiator (N26 anyways), it'll have to be replaced. Finally... I get to use this CPO lol.

EDIT: Also, yeah, the warning was the low coolant light. I missed the initial problem (somehow. The damn thing is right at the top) but my buddies at the shop helped me pressure test it to be sure that was the only leak. Considering it took a month to drain, we're confident that it is.
