Michelin vs continental
Hey guys just about to pick up a new set of tires in 225/45/18.
I am going for either Michelin Pilot A/S 3 + Or the Continental DW06 Will be using them in the winter months aswell. Any recommendations on which of the two is better? They say the Michelin has improved the winter performance. Any first hand expieriencie is appreciated. Also would like to mention that the pirelli runflats that come with the car have heavy wear on both front inner side( showing cords). Maybe an alignment is needed. Any recommendation on shops in the GTA Sean |

I just got the AS 3+ for my 440 - great tires so far! I had the PSS previously on my 135 but went with all season this time since I have Xdrive and don't want to swap wheels each season. I've been a long time customer of Consumers Tire @ Woodbine/14 ask for Emma and tell her Matt sent you.

Thanks for all the responses.
I ended up going with the Michilen Pilot A/S 3 +, look and drive way bigger than the crappy runflats. I went to consumer tire in Mississauga, they handled everything nicely I was out within 45 minutes, $900 factoring in the rebate. All I can say is WOW what a difference in the car with this setup. They however do not do alignment. So I called Policaro BMW today and they are charging $200 for the alignment. But the technician told me there is no way to adjust camber on the front wheels of the car. According to him if my cars drive straight I may not need an alignment. The old pirelli tires had major wear on both inner fronts and I would like to avoid it in the future. Searched on the forums and other people seem to be running into the same issue. Any ideas on what I can do to prevent it? Sean |
