Wait till you see the 4er.
How would you describe the differences between the new 3er and the 4er? Will the changes be very noticeable like the E90/E92?

I'm still finding it a little hard to tell what the front fascia looks like. From what I can see though it looks very good. I will definitely be buying one of these. A 2013 328xi to be exact. Can't wait to see it in person. Also can't wait to see what the new 4er will look like (and the M4).

Yes it is not going to return to being a 2dr Sedan, as previous models. But follow the same ideas from the E92/E93 with a distinctive appearance and more premium image.

$2k for HUD would be worth it if it can be read with polarized sun glasses at least. BMW would never bring the HUD to the 3 unless competition forced it to, they don't want to lose 7 series customers.

To signify the importance of the new 3er as it is a key segment for growth , everything is seen as increasing the image of the car , especially for customers who are downsizing from larger luxury vehicles.

The new 3er like the 1er will be available with, allbeit optional many features that once were only available in the luxury segment. This means BMW can increase volume and make these options far more cost-effective and still return a profit on each car. The only cost-cutting in the 3er is the shared platform strategy which is modular and shared with the 1er.

The new BMW 3er will also be more profitable per unit for BMW than any other 3er before .

This is f---ing awesome! It looks good and definitely reminds me of the E90 from the front because of the relatively flat front like the pre-LCI E90. The F30 hasn't even launched but I can't wait to see what the LCI F30 is going to look like!

Agreed! What is with all the BMW bloat recently?? The new models are looking more and more over-weight. And based on the reviews of the new 5 I've read, drives like it too. Sad.

On the other hand, this new 3 shows some potential, but the real test will come once we see this on the street. I sure hope its good!

I think the 4 series will be to the 3 series what the 6 series now is to the 5 series. It's called different so logically it will look different aswell.

Heads-up display? Driver-oriented dashboard? Hell yes. Let's just hope electric steering isn't in the formula.

the E90 LCI won't look too outdated after all

hopefully the same is true for the E92

Looks good, but I can't say anything until I drive one... if the steering feel is as electric and uncommunicative as in the 5, the 3 series is lost as the ultimate sport sedan.

Thank god almighty the headlights don't look like the new 1 series!
Looks really nice, my gutt feeling was they wouldn't do anything crazy, since the 3 series is their biggest money maker, they don't take chances on it.
Notice how the E60 looked vs the E90

Does that mean we'll see a price break?
