is it safe to open up the depos for bulb changes???
I don't think it's safe to open up the housing if that's what's needed.

I have the blackline DEPO LCI taillights and I'm getting condensation issues. I received replacement sets of these lights and I'm still having condensation issues, I do not think it's going away unfortunately, it goes and comes back

any input on this? These lights look great but theyre poor quality

Also, it appears that the insulation foam around the inner light is different than OEM, the depo foam is thicker and the outer edge actually moves a bit when i tried to press on it. Overall, the quality seems decent and hope the insulation foams will last.

Edit: any long term owner of these lights? I noticed that the outer light harness is not really waterproof (exposed connectors and etc). The area where the harness/resistors are located is not waterproof by design, so I'm worried about the long term exposure to water. So far I've used electrical tape to mask the exposed connectors and will coat it with silicone gel.

I've had mine for maybe 9 months or so, without issues. My set was a development set, so I had an issue with the inner light coming a little loose, but the ones on my car were hand made and were just a prototype. Nothing a little 3m tape couldn't fix, but you shouldn't need it on the production lights.

In other cars I have owned with aftermarket taillights with this issue, clear silicone around the lens where it meets the housing solved the problem

LCI drip rails are not needed for DEPO tails. I recently installed DEPO Blacklines from USR and reused my OEM drip rails. My install videos below show the drip rails and I talk about these in a little more detail. Some people have claimed that theyve seen condensation in their taillights and when they replaced with LCI drip rails, the issue disappeared. I havent had any problems thus far.

Hope the link below helps you...

For those with the condensation problems is with any type of non-oem head light or tail light is that they wont ever be near as good as OEM.

What i do whenever i get a replacement light for any vehicle, especially from ebay or anywhere else, i place a thick bead of silicone over the edge of the light. I also add a clear wrap over them or ceramic them. If you already have condensation, dry them up, and then seal them with silicone.

I'm in the process of installing Depo LCI tail lights that I purchased off of USR. Great set of lights for the amount paid. However upon installation, I did notice the thicker insulation around the tail lights. It does have a bit of play if you firmly press on it which is concerning since part of the tail light does not sit flush against the body.

I'll go ahead and take SMiGGS advice above but I was wondering how your lights are holding up now, to those who have it. My main concern would be when washing the car and overall, heavy rain. Do you notice any deterioration on the insulator?

*EDIT
Tail lights installed. To those who are very particular, here is a photo of the the inner tail light not sitting flush against the body.

I have been running the depo tail lights for more than a year now and have not had any condensation issues. I definitely agree with your comment that the surrounding material has some play to it and I even notice that this foam material gets wet when it rains but honestly I don't think too much into it as long as no condensation gets into the lights. Hope this helps!
