Any coders in NorCal?

im located in the Bay Area and wondering if we have any coders that can swap some codes in for me. On Craigslist, I found a guy "J" that does BMW coding nearby. He charges $50 for unlimited coding. My car is still under warranty, would coding possibly void the warranty in any way? Is it possible that J can mess something up while coding? I'm a bit skeptical cause it's CL after all. Thanks guys!

3 Series F30 328i.

Primarily looking to get the ASS feature to go memory or off. Also, unlock doors upon shutting off engine. I have plenty more in mind but the more I do, the more chances of messing up.

So you would recommend that I just leave it as is? The ASS feature really bugs me how harsh the start up is. Also how I have to open my door lever twice in order to get my door to open.

Hey guys, if you all want coding in NorCal, I live in Santa Cruz and will be happy to help y'all out. I've coded 100+ cars (and flashed a few) as of now for Bay Area, SD, Austin, and dealerships. I'll be back September 15th. Just send me a PM and we can set something up.

I can do anything from my Super Cheat Sheet or additional codes you bring to me.

wicked_ink, I believe we talked on FB, let me know if we are still on for when I get back in town. That way if you already got help, I can remove you from my list of peeps to contact when I get back.

Unless you plan on coding your own vehicle as well as others at the meet, I'd prefer not to have one. It's more like 'waiting in line' than it is a 'meet' if there is only one coder. Last time I did a meet, I anticipated another coder to show up, which didn't happen, and it took like 5-6 hours for me to get through 10-15 cars, not to mention the changes I have to do afterwards if someone doesn't like something after I've coded it...

BUT, I am definitely able to help set up a time to meet with people! Just not another 10+ cars in a single day lol.

LOL, been there done that!

I've coded 11 cars in one meet once down here; took me 9 hours straight. How did you get through that many cars so fast? I had 3 people leave because they had to wait so long.

Now I just do one-on-one coding, that way I'm not rushed and no one is waiting all day to get coded.

The auto stop start can actually be coded by the dealer for free. I just got mine done recently at Peter Pan.

Also, I just bought the cable and tried installing the Esys and failed miserably If anyone in NorCal that codes can help me set up, I would be able to help others..

That's interesting, I actually requested it from Peter Pan as well and they were not willing to do it because it was a feature that was meant to be in compliance with CA emission laws.

I am also looking for someone to help me code my mirrors to open and fold, which I'm sure the dealer will do but I won't go in with all my engine mods. Lol

I got my auto start stop coded to auto remember the last setting at BMW SF, they did it no questions asked. I think the excuse about it being due to emissions law doesn't make sense, since all F30s built after July 2013 coke with auto start stop that remembers the last setting from the factory.

You could try BMW SF if Peter Pan isn't being cooperative, or just another service advisor.
