Thanks Olram.
Quick update. I asked a BMW dealer in a different town, who sent me a quote for the MPPK right away. So I called my local dealer again, and asked them to look harder. I was told that they had to update their database, and now they see the part in their system. I ordered it. Should be installed next week. Generally I have no issues with the car up to 100 kph. It pulls nicely. But above 100-120 kph, it feels underpowered. So I am quite curious to see the difference. |

The difference is definitely noticeable, but don't it won't turn the car into a 325d or 330d.
The car pulls much better in all ranges. For me the acceleration above 100 kph was disappointing. Now it is acceptable. I can take over cars on backroads without any issues. The car seems to react quicker in Comfort mode, and it is more fun now in Sports mode too. Fuel economy is about the same. Maybe a little bit even better, but I am not 100% sure about this one yet. I am happy with the changes. |

Hy sorry to up an old post but i want to install the M PPK (11122293936) on my 2014 90 M km 320d ed (163hp)
My bmw dealer can't have it ordered, nor it will install on an "old" car with such mileage. So i found the kit online for 1100 - 1500€ and want to install it myself. But i hear that this kit need coding. I'm able to code (with e-sys) but i need to know which options i have to code. Could you help me ? (i will double post this message in the coding section too) |

As far as I know, this is not possible as a DIY option.
My understanding is that the ECU and the TCU have to be completely reprogrammed from Germany (because the ECU is replaced, and the new ECU has to be coded in to the car), and the car therefore has to be at a BMW main dealer for at least an overnight period. That was certainly the process when I had MPPK installed for my 30d. That said, I really wouldn't waste your money on MPPK. The power/torque gains are very modest (I got a refund), your car is already out of warranty (so why pay a premium), and a reputable tuner will be able to unleash far more performance from the engine than BMW would want/allow in order to protect its vehicle/engine line-up (i.e. not wanting powerful 20d units to rob sales from more expensive models). Really, a remap is the way to go and will save you a lot of money which you can use towards upgrading the brakes, suspension, etc.

Yeah I understand you response.
Although going from 163 to ~200hp have to be more obvious than 184 to ~200... But her in France we have very restrictive modifications allowed (almost to none when it come to engine) so that's why I want to stick with bmw "stock" material. |
