The Canadian BMW site does not the f30 configurator up. If you look at the Canadian order guide on this site there is no mention of the paddle shifters!!

Again, probably a mistake by someone leaving it out and maybe the person at BMW Canada looked at that guide, saw there was no option for paddles and made that comment.

I just hope they are wrong.

In Canada, looks like 2TB (Sport Auto) is standard on 335i (along with Sport Line).
Even though Sport Line can be added to 328i (but not 320i), you do not get 2TB and there is no standalone option for it.

So, the only way to get paddle shifters in Canada is to get 335i.

Well these pictures confirm one thing for me...that red line across the dash is absolutely hideous.

I dont think its going to be as bad as it might look in some pictures. Its anodized aluminum, so it is high quality material. (i did order the black strip)

It really is amazing reading about the different standard and options that each country makes for their BMWs. No flappy paddles - if that will be the case - is a huge disappointment.

Although our base car prices here in Australia is almost (if not) twice that compared to the US & Canada - and that's a blatant rip off by BMW Australia - at least we know EXACTLY what we get.

Our F30 base cars are very well provided and apart from the lines, we can option up individual items almost as we want. There are a few exceptions like optional Bi-Xenons for the 328i where we have to purchase the headlight washer system as well, but overall, we can almost choose what we want and not be restricted to buying a group of extras except where there are understandably certain mandatory prerequisites for say the adaptive headlights etc.

By the way, except for the 318d, all of the other initial release cars have the 8 speed sports auto with flappy paddles as standard here in Australia.

Hope you Canadian guys can get the paddles without issue.
