Bootmod3 Log Finally...

Living in NY it's pretty hard to get some good runs in for logging. I was finally able to get a 2nd gear pull from 2.5K through 5th gear. Outside temperature was 64F. I have a basic understanding of the logs and it looks OK to me, but if you guys have any comments/concerns with this log I would appreciate your feedback. Thanks all!

Your gas seems shitty, there's a pile of timing issues there likely related to octane.

Can you explain to me where you see that? Trying to figure these logs out myself. I'm using Shell 93.

Timing on every cylinder should be uniform, and climbing, by the time it hits 6,000rpm it should be 10s across the board.

So this think it's gas for sure?

OK cool, I'll order some. I appreciate the explanation. Should i try and find better gas? I don't want to rely on boostane going forward.

You might be in the same boat as some of us. All gas is relatively shitty due to regulations and refinery feedstock. You can try a couple places, but I doubt it improves dramatically. Your log is also missing the knock detected line, I would be curious if there was any detected with that much timing pull.

Pro is the 32oz bottle, you can run the premium 16oz, but you might need half can.

Other option is to run 91 tune on that 93 gas.

Interesting. Would running the 91 tune in 93 gas be OK? Would it actually improve things?

Wouldn't hurt it, you can run higher octane than the tune calls for, you just don't want to be under. Your 93 is similar to my 94, it doesn't seem to measure up to the claimed rating. I get tons of timing correction on 94 octane on the 93 tune.

Is this stage 1? Your IATs are climbing quickly so I'm assuming this is stock IC. Here is an example of a clean log.

That's a bit surprising on the AA FMIC

It's usually not that high, I'm surprised as well. It was pretty warm that day and I was beating on the car a little bit... it does recover quickly though.

Welcome to the club of shitty timing with North East gas.

4oz of boostane helps me with Sunoco 93 on a 93 tune

I think either PTF needs to pull back the timing on the 93 OTS maps, or we should just start running the 91 OTS map. I would open a ticket with them to see what they think. I don't like the idea of having to add Boostane all the time.

I just opened a ticket with them and attached the log. I also posed the question on running the 91 tune with the 93 gas to see what they say. Thanks everyone for your insights and suggestions.

Sadly i even had shit timing with the 91 tune with 93 gas. Multiple stations multiple brands. Seems like there was some discussion about getting a 91acn map for those of us impacted in these areas

Shitty NE gas?! Your first problem is you're cheaping out trying to run Sunoco gas.

You should be glad you have access to 93.

Reading comprehension miss?

I've tried multiple stations all different brands... Shell, Sunoco, Mobil, Cumberland (gulf)...

Few others have reported the same on the FB enthusiasts page regarding CT gas.

Try again
