400M square fitment

Hi,

Looking for a winter set up on a 340xdrive with the track package.... wondering if anyone had experience with the 400M 18x8 square set up?
Will they clear the calipers ?

The 400M wheels will clear the Brembo brakes with up to 370mm front/345mm rear rotors - I use them as my winter square setup on 435ix with the M4 blue Brembo calipers & 370/345 rotors

I know that it is not what you are asking but I’m running 225/45 18” all around on 441m wheels which are 8” front and 8,5” rear.
Does not look stretched at all, hard to notice a difference between rear and front actually.

So not needed to go 8” all around. Have xdrive as well.

Not to hijack your thread, but I need wheels for the winter too. Tires are Blizzak 225/45/18 sqaure and the wheels I'm looking at are 18 x 8 with a 40 offset.

How will the tires look? Stretched? Will they cover the rims or will there be protrusion?

Thanks!

18x8, +34 with 225/45/18 is a bmw oem non staggered option. your wheels would be tucked 6mm further in. generally 225 is a, barely noticeable, 10mm stretch on an 8" but it depends on the brand and model and type of tire.

High offset (ET40) and 8x18" aftermarket wheels might be an issue for caliper clearance if your car has M Sport or M Performance Brakes.

The car does have M Sport brakes.

Sounds like its ok to go lower in offset, but tricky to go higher?

Spacers will do the trick if you run into issues with caliper clearance.

So spacers would work if there are clearance issues on with the 40 offset?

Does anyone know if costco deals with spacers? I imagine their scope of work is pretty limited.

With ET40 you can easily fit 10 or 12mm spacers. But test fit without first!
