Brakes Click When pressing and depressing at a Stop
Just noticed today that my rear brakes are clicking when i press AND depress the pedal. The fronts do not make this noise. This can even be heard if i press the pedal when the car is off; I can be in park, drive, neutral. I also can hear the master cylinder making noise when I listen closely by it, but this could be normal as I have never listened for that before.
It may be worth noting that I have an armytrix exhaust which piggy backs off he brake boost vacuum line. Everything looks normal and I have had this installed for years with no issue. However it may be no coincidence that I am having trouble opening and closing the valve. Sometimes it closes like a minute later. Its like i am losing brake pressure or something. Also worth noting the braking seems normal. What could be causing this?

I also wanted to put a thread about it before as my brakes do the same.
Occasional very loud brake click coming from the master cylinder area. Braking is all as normal and pads are good. No noise from the caliper, just from the master cylinder as I press the brakes. This noise comes and goes and I'm also struggling to identify the cause. Browsing on some other BMW forums, people point it down to the pedal box bushings, but thats nothing to do with mine. Even I popped the bonnet I can hear the noise much louder. |
