Call Mike at X-PH about exhaust options. He can really tell you the sound differences between various axle-back exhausts and help you to avoid something expensive that you won't like. He saved me from myself a couple of times! 😉

I like the BMW M Performance exhaust (may be the best value if one could be found used and in good condition) but my favorite sounding is AWE. Mike likes REMUS too but I haven't heard it yet.

I know charge pipe upgrade is necessary for N55 because of a poor design that cracks at the 90 degree bend. But Mike could tell you if there is any benefit to swapping out your CP. There may not be a reliability issue.

X-PH, is that a shop in SoCal? When i look it up I get 3C Performance Exhaust shop lol. The m performance sounds good but its too pricey for me. I don't think a $1500 is worth it for this car personally, but then again I have no idea what the prices are like for these other exhausts, i know a good exhaust will set u* back a bit.

Yeah I'm not a mechanic or anything, just learning all this from the forums. I might be mistaking it for another part, but I read when going stage 2 or 3, there's a plastic or rubber part that holds the boost that needs to be upgraded, thought it's the CP😅

What're the benefits of Bm3 stage 2 versus say JB4 running map5? I've heard there's no need for any modifications too due to the JB4 hitting similar boost levels as the 328 while achieving 260 HP.

I would stay away from a Stage 2 ATM, especially if you have a high mileage and haven't done more than the necessary maint + plus some extras..And for me i would get the BM3 (Bootmod3) over the JB for everyday driving, less herky, jerky unless you like the cowboy effect, lol...

Where's the guy who did his dyno result for the stage 1 91 N20, 320ix. His numbers were very, very similar to yours. I believe his HP's were: 212whp and TQ: 259 ish..So i guess B48's and N20's in 320i form are very close cousins lol...
