Best guess....after break-in....4.2-4.4, 12.9-13.0 under optimal conditions

Nice runs! Well done. Where was the car shifting itself at? At redline? I wonder if/how much more performance could be gotten out of the car if you were shifting and "short-shifting" a bit earlier… since we all know the N55 still falls off towards redline (not as bad as the N54 used to, at least from my experience). I was thinking short shifting it and hitting the next gear where the revs are still near the peak of the torque curve might help a bit?

Regardless, I definitely want to see this thing with upgrades. People bash automatics all the time, but that 8-speed is impressive for sure.

I think strong passes in the E92 M3 are high 12's stock.
Believe me when I tell you that I tried the Jedi mind trick on the wife to want the E92 M3 instead. She wanted this so... Here it is.

So the F32 is slower? Although the engine is essentially the same, I'd expect the newer car to be incrementally faster.

Just out of interest, what will the e92 m3 do?

But given the amount of N54s out there that are highly modified, this platform has quite the following (yes this is N55 but same idea) of people who increase the power and take it to the drag strip amazingly enough.

It is considered a 'sport sedan' so probably a given. Crazy to see 335's and 135s with the N54 engine running roll races against Lambo's, Ferraris, GTRs, etc, and doing quite well. I think the BMS folks have 135 and 335s that are pushing north of 500whp. Considering you could toss in <$1500 and run in the 11s in the 1/4, that's pretty impressive to me. For a luxury sport sedan...
The main post of this thread was discussing stock 1/4mi.

I can stick turbo's on a lambo and blow away a Veyron. What's your point?

I have a 2011 335 xdrive coupe stock and ran a best 13.2 at 105.3 so I would imagine you should be able to shave a tenth or two off that time, break the car in a little and try again!

Awesome run OP - quite impressive.

All that matters is that you enjoyed yourself and ran low 13's in a stock car!

My point was in response to your remark questioning why this thread even existed because apparently you fail to see a need to discuss 1/4 mile times in a 'luxury car'.

I merely pointed out, and as this thread is 5 pages now I shouldn't need to explain further, that this is quite a popular topic and even more so as people love the fact that with very cheap modifications these cars run very fast. They're fast for a luxury sports sedan in stock form (what the OP said) and substantially faster with modifications (what I pointed out and many other posts have discussed).

Not sure I should've even bothered responding since it's quite obvious people want to talk about this by looking at this forums topics and magazine articles that always test 1/4 mile times among other performance factors when reviewing the car.

Maybe I'm being trolled and if so shame on me for assuming a genuine curious intent. Comparing a lambo to a veyron would be fun, especially since those 1,000 Lambos are insane, but I suspect that would be another forum/topic as this one is concerned with the F30's performance stock which always leads to the question "wow that's fast, what will it do with a tune > intake > downpipe > stronger tune > intercooler > race gas > e85 and so on"
