Car: 2015 435i EWG 50k km

Noticed this ticking noise that sounds like metal on metal rattle on idle and worsened by acceleration

sounds like coming from ?spark plugs

I installed catless downpipes 10 days ago, this sound wasn't present prior to that or 5 days after install. not sure if related or just coincidence

what you would think if you've heard N20 without sound insulation like in your video? your engine sound is fine for sure.

Always difficult to judge from a video as the recording from different microphones sounds different and so on. The sharp high pitch ticking is normal from injectors but my ears pick up a lower pitch rattle which does not sound normal to me. But it could be just the recording. Could you make another one where you rev it?

All good. Engine cover is off so the sound of injectors will be more pronounced.

My 2013 f30 335i (pneumatic waste-gate) has started to make this "ticking" or "rattling" noise upon startup. It also has started making a "metallic rattling" or "metallic vibrating" noise when accelerating from a stop.

I've attached videos where you can hear the rattling upon startup and another one where you can CLEARLY hear the metallic vibration at 2k-3k rpm's when accelerating.

PLEASE ADVISE if you have any ideas of what this might be.
