Car looks really nice I have SG on my X3 it's a lovely colour with hints of purple and bronze/gold hues in it in the sunlight a bit like sparkling graphite of old, the red merino looks great against the carbon trim as well.

I first saw the colour on an X4M40d in summer ant it looked stunning. I made my mind up on the spot to order one.

Had a bit of a colour wobble just before it went into build and toyed with Black. I remembered though why I have only ever owned 2 black cars and stuck with my first choice. So glad I did.

The carbon does look good. I'm a bit annoyed though that the spec has changed and it's no longer got carbon on the centre console. Shows it on the configurator as carbon but comes all piano black which is a PITA to keep smudge free.

On the subject of HK, I found it very underwhelming in a X3 I had on loan whilst I owned the 440i. Also found it fairly disappointing in X5 and X7, but by then had spent a lot of time in Land Rovers. Just a quick update on the HK MashinBenzin in case you were interested....

Lots of people over on the X3/X4 forum (and G30 forums as well) complaining about the new HK and how poor the bass is. Well, it turns out that there are a load of duff amplifiers out there and there was a PUMA case raised for them sometime at the end of last year/beginning of this one.

Anyway, long story short, my amp was replaced yesterday and full software update and guess what? I now have fuller/louder bass and it sounds like it should do

Still not run the car in though with all this WFH and lockdown mallarky. My original estimate of "run in by May" won't be too far off . . . still less than 1000 miles on it as of today....

Adding mcoops as he was somewhat underwhelmed with new HK too.

It does take a long time to add miles these days doesn't it?!

It sure does. I think I'm currently on about 50 miles a week. On the plus side, I'm only filling it up every 6-7 weeks.

Just had call from bmw , I do have 1 of the faulty units...they thanked me for the PUMA No etc...lol so being replaced tomorrow...Result
