That tells me there were three people who drove faster than they should have for the road conditions. Over here NASCAR has a standing policy: when rain is serious enough to cause the track conditions to be compromised they don't race.
We recently had a number of multiple vehicle crashes, as in more than 50 cars and trucks, during snow storms. The cause wasn't snow, the cause was driver error. Videos were taken of one car after another traveling at their normal 100-120KPH speed, when they should have been going half that due to the road conditions, slamming into the pile one after another, unable to stop.

Was the wing up? The shape of the GT causes it to create lift. Thats why the wing rises at 110kph, to make downforce. Without that, these things would fly if you went fast enough, regardless of road conditions.

It's all about your tires. X drive doesn't help. If you get RWD and get appropriate tires, there is no stopping you. But when it's to wet, nothing will help you.

I guess Subaru did marketing wonders for to help everyone thins AWD is invincible to conditions.

This.

I hate it when the news readers say a “driver lost control.” They didn’t lose control, they gave it up. There aren’t piles of control sitting on the side of the road by accidents. Just piles of twisted metal and broken people.
