Megane 275 Cup S

Just watched a test of this online, think its the end of the line run model, looks very impressive.

Never been a huge fan of the looks and I don't know if they are a bit brittle but put one in coast to coast with simple spec of metallic and 19 inch wheels and its £23k which is pretty decent for a new car that is supposed to be one of the best handling ever. Makes a Golf GTi clubsport at £34k with no discount look pricey !!

Would make a fun weekend and track tool I guess and you can spec Ohlins dampers etc too

Interested to know if anyone has driven one in particular this 275 Cup S ?

Its a French car, end of discussion for me. Nothing against France as a nation but they make some poor cars.

Had a old Renault Megane R26 with the slip diff. One of the best handling cars I drove but also one of the ugliest butts in all car history.

Would like to try this new one, bet it handles sweet. 23k seems a bargain!

in the past 9 years, we have had 3 Renault's and they have been more reliable than our brand new Audi A1!

Sounds good but as mentioned I am scared of french cars after my Twingo 133, great fun but the quality and build scarred me

Company I work for has had a Renault, Citroen and now Peugeot. All have needed mega expensive repairs much earlier than it ought to have needed if ever!

Owned four French cars in my lifetime (2 x Renault 5 GT Turbo, 1 x Citröen ZX Volcane and 1 x Citröen Xantia Activa Turbo) and they were without doubt the most horribly unreliable and poorly built cars I've ever owned! However, I'm reliably informed that French cars these days are very much better so maybe while not a long-term keeper, fun for a few years?
