435i engine mount
Hi all, new member, owner of a 435i F32... quick question.. engine mount testing by pressing the brake and increasing throttle to left and right sides... my drivers side doesnt move much but the passenger side does move a fair bit more... is there any reason other than a stuffed mount that one side would move more than the other? How much movement is acceptable? car has low kms and well looked after so one may dismiss an engine mount issue...but stranger things have happened. Wondering if anyone has tested their mounts and noticed the passenger side moving a lot more?

I believe the mechanic achieves this by turning the steering wheel when applying load through the use of the brake while accelerating. Either way, I saw this with my own eyes, he was definitely able to isolate left and right hand sides. The passenger side (in Australia) definitely 'rocked' more.

ok, so there was nothing wrong with the engine mount. The BMW engine mounts are soft from factory and passenger side will always move more than drivers side due to setup. Compared to 2 other cars and exactly the same. This thread can be deleted.
