New Guy, old topic...
Hey guys/gals... I just bought my wife a 428i and she really wanted to "spiff" it up... I haven't really modded anything in about 10 years. I had a SRT4/Lightning/GSXR that I spent thousands on over the years. Anyway... enough with that...
The delimma: JB4 or BM3... I've read everything I can find and watched every YouTube video I can find... I can't pull the trigger and make a decision. Which one do you have and why? Have you tested both?

Wait for an ebay 15% or 20% coupon and buy a BM3 license
I've had JB4 for a year and a half....I really like it. Having said that; I'd have gone with BM3 if it was available then (or maybe it was, but flashing wasn't as easy as it is now i.e. DME removal, shipping, bench flashing, return shipping compared to now being able to do it at home on your own)

Okay... that is the main thing I like about the BM3... send data logs and they can make adjustments for you and send a tune back. Any more pros or cons?

Not sure if you saw the video or the post but forum member: Aekdbrich did a youtube comparison between the two. I thought it was pretty informative.

The main difference is obviously piggyback vs. flash tune. Both are equally easy to install, and I believe they are priced similarly. It was a really easy decision for me. BM3 offers tons of custom configurable settings, the ability to scan for codes, easy datalogging and other things. I never owned a JB4, so I don't know exactly what other features it offers other than obviously being a tune... but I don't think it has as many extra features as BM3.

Nice, good choice. You have a great community of BM3 users right here so don't hesitate to pick our brains before/during/after the install with questions if you do in fact go for it!

Honestly... I'm kind of hooked on BMW now. I have always bought my wife Lexus/Benz and now BMW. I am now planning to finish paying my 16' Silverado off and buy myself a toy!
