Just want a place to chronical the ownership of my first bimmer and any slow progress I make. This will probably be cooler for me than it is for you lol.

She arrived march 14, 7 days before the michigan covid-19 shut down. Some undocumented damage to the hood. At the local BMW dealer they did a used car inspection and found the oil cooler gasket leaking, 2 heavily worn tires, and a missing sensor in the rear brakes. I'd like to thank Carvana for standing by their word and fixing everything for me, including 2 new tires, as they were very very poor.

Here's the package setup and options. In hindsight, I wish I would've found a car with the navigation package, but aside from that I got a fairly unique stock sportline with a mixture of packages. Looked hard to find a sport line with no red stripe across the dash. I'm quite happy to have sturdy timing chain guides still as well it seems. Oil changed at dealership every 7500 miles, and well maintained badge from a clean carfax. Scored an 89 on autocheck. Arrived with 50344 miles.

Finally got her in to the body shop and I would fully recommend Cooper's Auto Body in Lansing if that's your area too. They fixed the dent, removed the front plate holder, repainted the bumper, and wet sanded the hood and roof for me. Top quality job. I'm impressed.

For my first DIY mod, I swapped out the stock sportline grills for black glossy m sport grills. Instead of detaching the bumper, I reached my hand in and popped the side and top tabs, then used a little homemade tool to get under the bottom tabs and pop those loose too.

My next mod plans are to go body color on the reflectors/smoke out the top reflector on the headlights, and replace the stock shifter to the pretty SAT leather booted shifter. I really like the 397 wheels I have so I may get a new one to replace the one rim with slight road rash, and then swap to regular tires, with a spare. I'm on the lookout for non m-sport body kits too. Front lip, side skirts and a diffuser. I doubt I'll tint the windows because I fricken love the dad shades personally.

*edit- YEAHHH I'm gonna tint the windows too.

Body paint reflectors installed. This is my first DIY kinda stuff on a car's aesthetics and I'm having a lot of fun with it.

Nice looking car with the OEM+ style mods. How difficult were the reflectors to remove? Just ordered a pair of clear front reflectors.

Super easy! I watched a few youtube videos! A regular old blow dryer helped loosen up the old reflectors. It was a 2 out of 10 difficulty tops. Scrubbing the glue off was a bitch kinda. No biggie though. Thank you!

New wheels. 19" Avant Guarde m359's, staggered. 9" front and 10" rears. Lionhart tires because the dealer shipped me the wrong ones. 235/35 fronts and 265/30 rears. Baby looking like she got a fat ass
