Smile F30 Headlights replaced after crash Coding

Hi guys, first can I say this forum is amazing!
I have got E-SYS, updated PSDZDATA file (lite), and currently trying to get ISTA -D

The car is a facelift M-Sport, with Full LED headlights, and I am replacing with Full LED shadow edition headlights

The new lights are completely dead, from what I can read on the forums, they need reprogramming, (throwing lots of errors too).

The forums I can find now, all have dead URL links, any help guys?

I have used ESys cheat sheets to code with, and need to also learn how the cheat codes work included with the launcher

Thought would be cool to have a post without any links to download software just tutorials?

Did take pictures of light modules if that helps?

Much appreciated

Hi guys

I have now gone into Ista
Re learned height sensor
Re learned indicators
Code FEM - from the test plan

And in e-sys just clicked code on the FEM module

The car no longer shows all errors it just says headlight range control

Neither light is working

I got pictures and videos coming

Mark the fle module in the SVT table, assign a CAFD and code it.
Do the same for the second fle module.

Yes, because the modules are "new" for your car and you have to assign the CAFD first.
So mark the FLE, then on the right side "detect caf for swe" and a window opens. Choose the bottom CAFD or the CAFD with the highest numbers and hit OK.
Then hit the button "Code".
Do the same for the second FLE.

OH MY GOD,
This has just made my day

Thank you for giving some time to help a complete stranger

Did exactly as you showed and selected the last CAFD option?

And no errors and lights work properly

Think I may need to align them but looks good!

Thanks again!

Hi,
i want to make a retofit on my car 3 GT F34 12/2013, from halogen to led headlights (not adaptive), and i don't want to install the level sensors.
regarding the coding of led headlight (not adaptive):
1. after i will assign with esys the CAFD will be need other codings?
2. i don't want to install the level sensors, so i could get some errors, and i read that will be necessary to add an option (i think is 5A2 led headlights, not adaptive).
3. how to add option 5A2 in FEM and REM.
4. My car is made in 12/2013, the i-drive software will need update?
thank you

thank you in advance.

atzebmw i have just followed your instructions and happy to inform that it worked a treat for one side. The only issue i have is that i am missing FLE 44. Any ideas on this? can i copy FLE 43 and rename to 44?

Check connector. It usually loose connection of the module isn't responding. You can swap the module and check if the module is the issue or the connection
