If you really want to stick to 91, costco is generally the best.
Yeah - will have to try Costco out again. I used to go to them only, but then was told that their fuel quality isn't as good as Shell/Chevron (both of which are closer to me now anyways).

Have never used ethanol - what are some general rules to know about that? Is it fine to use with stock fuel system?

I have absolute shit fuel up here in Vancouver. In the past, I would add roughly 3 gallons in on a full tank. No e30 map just running the 91oct with better fuel.

Pulled harder, smoothed out my timing, removed knock. Going to start doing it again.

Yeah, basically this. Based on others experience i have seen, you can start with 2 gallons of E85 and fill the rest with 91. Log before and after on the same map and you should see timing improvements. Note it might take a few miles to mix the tank and get the mix up to the HPFP, so drive a bit after you fill before logging. You just need to keep track of how much E85 you add relative to 91. Every once in a while you can run through a full tank of normal 91 to "reset" your ratio. Although E85 has a lower energy density than gasoline, mixing in a few gallons in a tank is only a small change in the required fuel and your STFT can easily compensate that few % even when you are on a non Exx tune.

Its fine with stock fuel system. Really the only limiting factor for a FBO car is the HPFP if you go to a relatively high Exx ratio (say, E30+) and are in cold temps (<60F). At that point you just reach the limit of what the HPFP can supply. But just mixing in a few gallons and running a 91 octane OTS stage 2 tune shouldnt put you near that limit, unless you are in very low temps (<30F).

Alright - so I was able to flash the TCU and got a bunch more logs now. Stage 2 ACN 91, DSC off, Costco gas this time around.

Seems like my timing is only a little better but still pretty shit. Still getting knocks right around the time when I first smash the pedal. Not getting peak boost until ~3k which seems intentional.

First 4 are 3rd gear, 4th one is 4th gear, 5th is 3rd and 4th:

What do you guys think? Still pretty crap?

On the timing issue, only thing I can think of - I did the spark plugs myself - gapped NGK 97506 to 0.022. First time I've ever done this. Could I have fucked something up that would be causing the wacky timing?

Are you PWG? You're not holding boost very well. Almost 5psi off target near redline in most of those logs.

Will there be any gains to be had by using a Dorch Stage 2 pump with this file?

Are you going to be releasing a Stage2+ E30 tune for the n55 pwg like there is for the ewg motor?

PWG n55s limitations are its turbo not fueling. Wouldn't make sense to install a stage 2 pump without a bigger turbo.

Yup. Stage 2 OTS map already maxes PWG turbo out. Theres no need for a stage 2+ PWG map.

you'll need to go custom for.ypur car if.you want anything more really power wise. assuming you aren't 100% maxed out now, it varies a little car to car.
