E-Sys (with pro launcher) vs Bimmercode

Considering some cost is involved if we want to continue to use E-Sys. (Due to the end of life of the free version of E-Sys launcher and only the paid for pro version available)

I am trying to work out if I pay for the new launcher or go the bimmercode route. Anyone know the major differences?

I understand you can't VO code with bimmercode but you don't need a token for this so could still use E-sys if needed for this part. Could everything else be done with bimmercode?

My understanding is that bimmercode plus vgate = £50 (roughly)

E-sys + pro launcher = $50 for 2.5 years

Given the functionality of the latter, I think that's the way I'd go tbh.

Also bare in mind the cost of the pro launcher is 100% for charity.

Given the cost, I'd happily have both - BimmerCode for quick convenience and eSys for fully featured use.

I just need a reliable way of getting the Launcher PRO license but perhaps this is on the website now?

The pro license purchase still seems to be through an email to tokenmaster. I have dropped him an email. Hopefully hear back in the next few days.

Agree it would be better to have a slicker process.

Like I said in the other thread - I emailed him back in May (twice actually) and never heard anything back.

Stephan from BimmerCode however responds immediately.

If you're going to charge for your services (charity or not), there probably should be a level of service to accompany the charge.

esys is dead for me... the customer service is rubbish. i have emailed so many times and heard nothing.

when does it become pay to use? will the free version we are all on just stop working?

The Esys tokenmaster stopped working on 31 December 2017.

I agree I think the lack of 'service' and transparency from that guy is a non starter. One day it's an unannounced date bomb who knows what's next.

Email and wait 6 months for him to emerge from his cave .. no thanks.

Interested to know how long you have been waiting?

I had a reply from Eli which took about 7 days explaining how to donate etc. Haven't gotten around to it yet as not sure what else I need to code...

I've made a script that neutralizes Tokenmaster's checks in E-Sys Launcher Premium making it possible to revert the system time to an earlier date.

This doesn't work for me mate, my .est was in the default folder (C:\ProgramData\TokenMaster\E-Sys LauncherPremium\FreeToken.est) so I've deleted it manually but there's still some other errors, any ideas what's going wrong?

My launcher version is 2.7.1_Build_135 and e-sys is 3.27.1_RC_b44813

Thanks for the screenshot. It's actually looking pretty good!

You can ignore the errors about 'File of type ... not found'. The script is basically telling you that these files are not present on your system. I wanted to suppress the errors, but couldn't figure out a way to do it. I'll try to rephrase the sentence above it, telling you to ignore it.

It seems to me like your Launcher should be working again once you revert your system clock.

With system clock set as todays date I just get the constant circle of launcher asking me to create token. With date set to june 2017 it just comes up saying the date has been manipulated!

Once you've run the Launcher with todays (or any) date, you'll have to run my script again before reverting the system clock to a date preceding that. Basically the Launcher assumes time can only move forward, but never backward. That's what my script is for.

I tried all that. Doesn't matter now as tokenmaster has already sent me the access code!

Just used launcher pro and all is working correctly! I had to get a different version of psdzdata to be able to code ICM & KOMBI though.
