Question Is your quest for HP/TQ insatiable or do you have goals & limits?

Just curious...for those of you on a quest (like me for me HP/TQ) do you have a limit or is there never enough?

For me now that I have achieved about 400WHP in my 340 thanks to Mission...I'm kinda at my limit (for this car). At this point IMHO I need an LSD and better driving skills and brakes etc. to really harness what I have. AutoX has proven this to me. Anything more at this point would be a waste for me.

But that's me, what about you? Your goals? Your limits? Your reason(s)

I just ask myself if my car is putting down all of the power.

The most hilarious shit is when you see an 800 horsepower car that couldn't get traction to save it's life.

If you're not putting the power down, then it's time to forget HP/TQ and start looking at more important things.

My limit is if I can't hook 2nd gear. Though BM3 allows you to adjust boost by gear, so that makes my limit a lot higher than if I didn't have that option. But I enjoy wringing out 2nd and 3rd to get on the highway so those are important to me. I don't drag race or anything so all out power isn't important, just fun and gapping people that aren't trying to race.

Also i don't want to have to run a heavy race clutch, so as long as stock or an upgraded OEM Clutch can hold the power, I'm in.

this is my point - or the engine is outperforming the brakes or suspension. I mean we can all drop a big HP motor into a pinto

I've been at a stage 2 flash for about a month and it is starting to feel like stock flash. I think if I could get to 500whp it would keep me happy, but I'm only saying that because I have not had a chance to get used to that feeling yet.

Somehow I feel a V8 delivers power in a way that can't be depicted on a graph.

The inline 6s are sweet sounding but you can not beat the sound of a V8...just can't do it.

I'd vote an inline V6 for sound. Yup, VR6's sound awesome.

Or if you vape, there's always a WRX

That aside, I'd rather have handling and predictability over just a huge twitchy HP car.

I had a tune on my F31, but took it off for the better throttle inputs and couldn't be happier.

100% agree, my wife's 440i is quick and sweet sounding and will be more so after Monday's MPPSK install, but it doesn't sound anything like my F-Pace SVR, the rumble and back in your seat rush is intense on another level and the Jags Active baffle exhaust sounds wild.

Here is a little tunnel run with the thing about 2 weeks ago.

My 428i GC with BM3 S1 and full catback awe quad exhaust is good enough for me.

Living in California, I am already pushing the legal limit

Next upgrade going to be just cosmetic
Wheels and tires
M performance style quad diffuser
DTM front lip
Then..... last mod will be intercooler and corresponding pipes

I will say that I did do a brief rev battle against a Camaro LT1 at a stop light and with the mppsk it does hold its own. Just the right amount of exhaust with some crackle on lift off of the throttle.
