How just wait until you get a DP and go stage 2
Yes the peak gain is def in the midrange, but peak horsepower (as in the actual high HP at 6000rpm) feels like a bigger gain than 20hp. Loving this tune so far.

Dyno day with v7.0 (a test version from PTF to address throttle closure issues)

It was done in 3rd gear because the baseline in 4th gear took almost 20seconds

Run 1: stock map, 3rd gear, sport+
Run 2: v7.0 test map, 3rd gear, sport+
Run 3: v7.0 test map, 3rd gear, DSC off

A little bummed on HP but the torque looks and feels great

That's normal, you're xdrive so you'll be making 20-25whp less than RWD would.

Really? I thought Xdrive had a small advantage in HP & Torque over RWD

@codestar do you have the datalog for these runs? Are you still actively working with ptf to revise the v7?

Did you try deleting and redownloading the BM3 Agent?

i did delete and redownload on the windows machine. the mac that this error message was from was a fresh download. I did see this tho on their website.

Troubleshooting
*** I can't seem to connect with OBD agent on my laptop, says to check cable and reset battery but still no VIN detected. What do I do? ***

Ensure that you have no piggybacks activate such as a JB4, Dinan etc or exhaust valve controllers. Ensure your Firewall and Windows Defender are off and any anti-virus or network security software are off as they may block communication with the car. Last but not least, check your Ethernet IPV4 settings to ensure your IP address is set to Automatic (DHCP) instead of Manual.

i have a dinantronics sport chip thing under my hood. it never gave me an issue with tuning before, maybe thats new. https://www.dinancars.com/product/d4...6-n55-engines/

i cant imagine this is it since its a simple piggyback chip

No, you have drivetrain lost from the split power ratio between 4 wheels instead of 2.

I have been with bootmod3 since October.
After finding out a new update for N20 EWG L-P was out I went to flash and found my OBD agent needed to be updated:
I updated my agent and now on bootmod3.net it says I don't have any registered vehicles.
I tried to plug in but the website won't lock in.

My phone still shows all of my information and maps.
I just want to flash the new update 😢
Any advice or anyone in Maryland with the WiFi agent?

Posted in the facebook group, but figured I'd post here as well:

First time data logging - can anyone take a look at these logs for me and let me know 1. did I even log right? 2. how do they look?

These were all done starting in 3rd gear between 2-2.5k RPM.

I have been having an issue where it feels like the car is hesitating or boost is breaking up for a split second, but only on partial throttle. Like 3rd-6th gear between 3k-5k there are multiple points where for a split second it feels like power drops for just a half second. I can’t really feel it at WOT, but not sure if it’s just because I’m powering thru to redline and it’s happening to quickly for me to notice.

Been tuned for 500 miles or so. Changed spark plugs to NGK 97506 gapped at .022 and that didn’t resolve anything.

Appreciate everyone’s help and insight!

So you need to floor it when you log, start in 2nd and floor it through as many gears as you have room for without killing yourself or anyone else.

Log 1 and 3 you're not doing that.

Log 2 and 4 and 5 have at least one gear where you're flooring it, and I'm no expert, but your timing does not look very good. Not sure if that's how it looks if you're on an ACN map and you have crap fuel.. Perhaps go down to a stage 1 map and log again.

So I just looked at your second log and these are my observations

You have a knock at 4220 RPM
Ignition timing is all over the place but this is probably due to shitty CA gas
You are over boosting until about 4900 RPM then boost drops below target to redline
Your HPFP takes a dive starting at about 3500 RPM and doesn't recover until after 5,000 RPM (this is the hesitation you are feeling from 3-5k)

You are PWG right? Did PTF release a map revision recently for PWG?

St2 91 test 1. I was given test 2 since then but haven't had an opportunity to take a log for it yet

Thank you both!

Yeah I am in LA and it's all crap gas, but I do only fill at Shell or Chevron what actions do I take to go about correcting the timing?

And yep - PWG, I haven't seen a revision to the ACN map for a while. When I flashed for the first time in January, the map date says its from like October of 2018. V7.1.

Its interesting that the log shows the HPFP basically dipping all the way from 3500 to 5000 rather than the little blips that I feel on partial throttle in that range. Could the blips of hesitation (at partial throttle) be a result of throttle closure as the car reacts to the HPFP basically not keeping up? Or am I totally misunderstanding what's happening there?

I recommend costco gas in CA. I have the best timing on that with MHD 2+ tune. I pretty much exclusively go to Costco unless i absolutely need to get gas somewhere else.

I would also consider looking into mixing ethanol. Check out the Pearson fuels app. There are numerous stations in the area - I am around Irvine and there is one right around the corner from where i live.
