Turn signal stalk retrofit.

Any idea if these two parts are interchangeable? One is the "old" style f30 clockspring and the other is the newer style where when you push it down it stays down. The "old" pops up when you push it down.

I doubt if they're interchangeable. The one is a momentary switch, the other a maintained switch. That means the circuits they're connected to are probably totally different in their operation.

So what would be needed for a retrofit? Not possible youd say?

Assuming that the switch activates the lights through the FEM then it might be possible to code the FEM for operation with the newer switch, but I can't say.
