Problems coding FEM-body
Hi,
I have a 2013 F30 which was recently reflashed and updated by BMW to clear a random rebooting issue. In the process of a full reflash from BMW I lost all my coding, so I have to redo all the codes. I was able to code 6NK over my existing 6NS, and have also done some CAFD coding for some modules. But some of the modules ae not accesible by me. I am getting the following error: Transaktions-Report: Aktion: Codierdaten lesen CAFD_00000794_016_050_021 Fehler: CPS read from ECU "ECUId:FEM_BODY_0x40" failed! [C070] openECUConnection for link FEM_BODY_40_ETHERNET failed with error MCDError Severity: 2051, Error Code: 49184, Description: Object with name not found, Vendor Code: 3, Vendor Description: provided name FEM_BODY_40_ETHERNET doesn't map to an item [1694] What do I do? Thanks

Thanks for the suggestion. Here is what I have:
E-Sys: 3.27.1 E-Sys Launcher premium: 2.5.3.108 PSDZ version: 5.01.02.2015-08 I-STEP (Shipment): F20-16-03-500 I-STEP (target): F20-15-11-505 Is there is a compatibility issue, and am I using old software/data versions? Thanks

Looks like your Esys is fine, not sure about the data though.
I would send shawnsheridan a PM and I'm positive he will come straight back to you with a resolution. |

"Object with name not found" is a ECU mapping issue, meaning wrong E-Sys Launcher Car Series or E-Sys Connection Target is being used.

Thanks Shawn,
I chose F30 in e-sys launcher and F30 in e-sys. Was this not correct?

There is no F30 in E-Sys, there is F20. You need to go back and double check all your settings. Object not Found means somewhere it is expecting car without FEM module, such as an F10.

Sorry,
What I meant to say was that I chose F030 in the e-sys launcher and F020 in E-sys itself. It maybe that the first time I launched e-sys I chose F010, but the last time I did, I chose F020....

From your other post, you had Missing CAFD error and new PSdZData should solve that.

Possible Fix from bimmerpost user...
When you are establishing the connection, make sure you have the right Chassis selected and don't select the _DIRECT option. I didn't have a Chassis selected and that caused the issue in my situation. Marking as solved.
