Can you run stage 2 on 91oct automatic MPPSK or does it require more?
Thankfully I live in Texas where we have good gas. I've never had to run 91.

If I ever got in a situation (while traveling) where 91 was only available, I would just flash it back to stock.

But as far as what else is required, just a DP.

stage 1 for standard mppsk.
stage 2 if you add an aftermarket downpipe.

So I yanked the JB4 today and purchased the BM3, and now when I connect to the OBD2 port, the agent is telling me I have an N63 engine with a completely different VIN. "Invalid VIN connected". It lets me click on "Identify Vehicle" and then comes up "Identifying vehicle, please wait....." then nothing. I don't have the time or the patience for this today....

I'd like an N63 in a 2er. Sounds fast.

Lol, wouldn't like the reliability though. Ended up logging in through Google as opposed to Facebook and then it read the VIN. Car is flashed, Stage 2. Weird to fire up without cold start. Sport gauges reading 480/560. Can't wait to go for a drive later!

Ok, so took her out for an hour and a half or so. Beat up on an F80 M3. Came back home. So much smoother than the JB4, so I think it actually feels a bit slower, but I know it's not. Gonna charge up the Dragy and try to get some numbers later. Stage 2, 93 octane, ER catless DP and BMS intake.

I know this redundant. Why bm3 over mhd? Besides customer service. All I want is a flash, dp and midpipe. No meth, no race fuel, no turbo upgrades.

This is my first BMW and a flash. So I dont have much experience reading or seeing them.

Super fast flash times, great OTS map customization, really smooth power and great customer support as you mentioned.

I second that. The v1.6 map is pretty close to perfect. Don't know anything about MHD.

Forgot to charge the Dragy, but I'll do it later this week. Took her back out for another 80 miles or so, and the difference between the JB4 and this flash is nuts. I did one solid launch to 70, and no doubt, it has to be in the 3.90 range to 60. I didn't engage the launch control, just a quick pre-load. SO smooth, solid grip, and zero throttle closures. I did just put 265 P4S's on a couple weeks ago, so they're helping a bit over the 255's. Hoping to be in the upper 11's next time I hit the track. We shall see.

What were your draggy results before with JB4?

I'll have to check. I did run 12.39 @ 111 at the track with JB4 on the old Map 1 (+4 PSI) and stock DP. Car seemed to fall on its face as far as mph on the back end. That was on a 1.9x 60 foot.

Stage 2 with a *CATTED* downpipe, yay or nay? Any recommendations for a good catted downpipe?

I have a CG DS-1 downpipe and a 91oct stage 2 tune. I've been happy with the DP so far; good sound and no CEL. The tune for my car has required a little tweaking by Halim, but is running really strong now. He has been super helpful.

Were you getting throttle closures?

Yeah. As I went to 100% pedal position, the boost would go shoot past the 16.5psi target and peak at 22psi before coming back down to target. As the boost was overshooting, the throttle angle would go from 100%, down to ~35%, then back up to 100% as the boost came back to target. The latest tune has tamed the boost spike to +3psi and reduced the throttle closure to 67% on my most recent run. Halim expects it to adapt over the next couple of days. I'm running E20, for the record.

I am getting the exact same thing. I figured at this point, they've done more than enough for an OTS tune. I was thinking of paying for a custom tune.

Are the pops and bangs unaffected on the X3 M40I? I've listened to some B58 exhaust clips with bootmod3 and the burbles sound good but it doesn't seem to have the random violent bangs or really loud series of snaps my M40i has.

Hi,

Those with bm3 stage 2, did the exhaust flap open in comfort mode?

Also, do you adjust the burble or use the OTS settings
