Suspension option 435i

I have a 2014 435I f33 with m sport (not adaptive). The car has FBO with a stage 2 Bootmod3 tune. Just looking to upgrade a weekend only fun car that has about 50,000 miles on it.
My son wants me to go full coilovers but I am thinking about going with the M Performance and putting the extra money towards a LSD.

Thoughts on going that route? I just think coilovers would be over kill and the LSD would set me up for doing an upgraded turbo later this year. We did just purchase the big brake kit so we will be doing that at the same time as the suspension.
The car might do a couple of rally days with my son but mostly just go and watch as he has fun with his car.
Thanks for the input.

There's a user on here Polo something that runs this setup I believe - m perf suspension and m perf LSD and I believe he's quite happy with it. If you search you might be able to find his threads they are quite informative

How much is the MPerformance kit? There are plenty of coilover options between $1000-2000

The kit is around $1200 and I would install it myself. The coilovers that I was looking at are around $2000 and on backorder. Just don't know if you could tell the difference. They both look to like good systems. Just having a hard time picking one.

I don't think coilovers are an overkill - just the opposite in fact. Coilovers provide matched springs and shocks by design, adjustable compression and rebound (varies by model) and also ability to set the suspension height. KW Street Comfort coilovers at about $1.6K are an excellent starting point.

Ok going to order the KW kit today so I can get the rebate. Looks like for my car I don't have the street option. I can pick from V1, V2 or V3.
What do you guys think would match up best to the M performance that I was going to get. Not on price but on ride. Thanks for you help!

I have m-performance susp and would recommend it since it comes with everything and is more of a "set and forget" item. I didnt care to dial in 32 settings and height to the exact mm and getting the car aligned every time i messed with the height enough to warrant it.

since you decided on kw, v1 is adequate but since you're considering all three, you might as well get at the least, v2 since it has both compression and rebound.

EDIT, sorry my mistake, V1=preset damping, V2=adjustable damping, V3=adjustable damping and rebound but one of the adjustment knobs is at the top of the strut.

If I were to get coilovers I prefer bilstein over kw because the B16 adjustment knob is on the bottom if the strut and adjusts damping and rebound together. 1-10 clicks from soft to hard is easier and it's easier access as well. B14 with preset damping is the bargain at around $1K.

How did the installation go? What settings for compressions and rebound did you eventually settle on?

Please post pictures.

The front appears to be just a bit too low. Could be just the camera angle.

Since KW V3 coilovers feature independent compression and rebound settings, you will have a lot of fun tuning the suspension precisely to the road conditions and personal preferences.

I set both of them to the max height. I am going to let it rest in the garage for a week and then take it to get aligned. Want it to settle before I do. I think my next upgrade will be the turbo.
