xHP vs MP Transmission Flash
Does anyone have any particulars on either of these two flash tunes for the ZF8? I see the xHP comes in stages of 1-3 and don’t see a similar option for MPs tune. Does anyone know the differences or have a comparison between the two? Are all transmission tunes similar to ecu flashes that follow certain “stage” parameters? Just wondering if the MP version is the same as the stage 3 xHP. Any help would be appreciated!

I don’t see why you couldn’t use the XHP transmission flash with any tune. BM3 has it for the DCT cars and are doing some testing on the ZF8 with some N55 guys as well given all the talk in the bm3 facebook group.

Im not sure if the B58 stuff is different, but i run BM3 and XhP on my M235i and they run fine together. But recently PTF said that they are working on a transmission flash too, maybe reach out to them and ask about it?

Also they said that they don't see a reason why xhp wouldn't be compatible now. Although I don't see my vehicle (2018 X3 M40i) listed as supported on the xhp site. |

Any update on this? I have the JB4 and just looking to see what people are saying about trans flash.
Also, can you switch from one to the other whenever you want (assuming you pay for both)? |

Running BM3 stage 1 + xHP on 2018 440i GC. Works great. Definitely faster shifts and shifting is more attuned to the increased hp/torque. There's probably some fine tuning to be had since it's v1.0 for xHP.
I did exchange IMs with xHP per the below and sent to BM3 for validation. "some tuners rely on the limits from the transmission for their load management. this works, as long as the transmissions stock limiters are in place. once they are removed in the trans, those tunes get wonky. so it's an issue that was always there, but gets unmasked through raising the transmissions torque limiters" I did confirm with BM3 support that all should work well together. |
