B58 praises!

I’m so excited watching all the new Supra coverage.

Really happy that apparently Toyota tore down the B58 and did all of the reliability checks and tests that Toyota is known for and said the B58 passed everything without issues.

Toyota also said in their opinion the B58 is the best in line 6 out right now which is why they went with it (that and to keep the inline 6 heritage of the Supra)

Curious though they mentioned the Supra to be SUPER tunable do they have a different ECU? I know tuning our cars has been a challenge?

As far as the ecu, Toyota just isn't a little Bitch like BMW in other words so that's probably why they made it tuner friendly to the public.

Flash tuning for the B58 has finally come full circle the last couple of months.

The B58 is tunable as there are flash tunes and bolt on tunes available. We will have to see if this Supra can make 1000 horsepower like the 2jz. There are tunes that can produce upwards of 500 horsepower available.

There was a couple videos of different people reviewing the Supra and “quoting” Toyota but I don’t have a video from Toyota

Here’s one for example https://youtu.be/3koIQeuqrxw

I watched the same video..he does a good video on the b58 in the supra too.

Really put my mind at ease at least a little about the B58. Engineering Explained has good solid videos.

B58 is not going to tolerate 1000 hp reliably. This isn't a cast iron block beast like the MKIV.
