New 4GC owner checking in!

Hello!

I was originally planning on buying a W211 E55 this summer, but after stumbling upon a thread about a BMW 428i a few months ago I suddenly got really hooked on the 4-series. I started looking at cars for sale and soon realized that a 435i would be perfect for me.

A few weeks went by, and after some more thinking I changed my mind and started looking at diesels instead. The 435d would be the perfect compromise since I'm gonna use it as a DD and xDrive will be really nice during our harsh winters.

Anyways, last Thursday I took a 500 mile trip to a car dealership and traded in my old car for a citrin black CPO '16 435d GC that had everything I wanted; H/K, adaptive suspension, heads up, sunroof, heated steering wheel and M everything.

I'm in love with this car and I hope you guys like it too!

Nice one, Erik, enjoy your new drive. I have the petrol equivalent. The 4GC is the sweet spot in the BMW range, imo

Thank you! I would also love to own a 40i someday.. perhaps a 340i a few years down the road as a second car.

And yes, the 4GC is a home run. Easily the nicest modern BMW in many years!

Congrats on the new car.

I have the twin here in DK.
Same color, 435d and sounds like the same specs.
Had it since nov 2018 and I really adore it.
It's comfy, economically to drive and almost fast enough ;-)
I'd fitted ACS springs on mine. Highly recommendable. The ridehight is better without loosing the comfort.
That said I'm planning getting the KW DDE suspension next year

Thank you, and congrats to you too for also having an amazing car! 😁

Yes, springs will most likely be my first mod because it sits a little bit too high right now. And maybe a remap when the warranty is up.. maybe.

Have you had any problems with your car so far?

Only thing I have had was the boot not closing.
A small adjustment and it was fixed.
Besides that no issues in the 26000km I have driven since start nov.
I'm really happy with it, and almost every time I leave it, I have to turn around and have look at it walking away from it:-)

Okey sounds great, from what I've heard they are pretty solid cars!

Haha same here.. it's almost a little bit embarrassing to turn around and look at it every time I park it, but what the hell.. it's a beautiful car! 😂

Yea exactly😊.
Be aware if you plan getting other wheels.
Due to the x drive only 1% difference on front and rear axel is allowed.
Otherwise you risk damaging the transfercase

Absolutely sexy 435d Eric and congrats on the new ride. I am currently trolling a couple of 2015 435 GC's here in Southern California. Hope to drop the hammer very soon so I can join the club.

Gorgeous F36! The black with tint really makes this car look stealthy, and your super lucky to have access to a 35d model, in the US that's forbidden fruit.
