Just as the title says. I changed the plugs in my 14' F30 with the N20. I had read that most folks recommending changing somewhere between 30-50k miles. At just about 40k and the plugs being factory, so 7 years old, I figured it couldn't hurt.
I ordered NGK SILZKBR8D8S from FCPEuro, which I understand is essentially OEM without the BMW stamp. The process was straight forward with a special plug socket, a few extensions and a swivel. Took about 30 minutes. Don't forget anti-seize! My initial impression was that the idle is definitely smoother. Both in feel, and when looking at the exhaust pipe, which used to have a slightly noticeable shake when the car was idling. Pic attached of the old plugs from front to back. Highly recommend anyone do this if you are unsure of your plugs age or mileage. It's easy and cheap to ensure maximum performance and fuel mileage. |

Nice and even combustion and also even electrode wear, good signs of a happy engine.
