Anyone owned an interior like this?

Never seen it before, but quite like the look of it? Just wondered what it’s really like. I’m not sure about the red bar that goes round. Unfortunately the car is about 300 miles from me….

One of the 330Ds we test drove had that interior; the wife & I really didn't like it...

It's too in yer face/too plasticky

That's Sport trim rather than MSport isn't it?

I have that interior, but with the brushed aluminum instead of the piano black that I think is in that one. I was originally searching for a saddle brown leather interior, with white or red as a close second, but when I came across the one I got, the red and black actually work together really well and feels aggressive but still classy at the same time. It hasn’t gotten too hot in the summer surprisingly (several 100+ degree days), and the sensatec has worn really well (which is to say looks new after 90k) and still feels soft- opinions are up in the air on that vs leather but after feeling how the Dakota feels and seeing the wear, very glad I got sensatec on mine. Sports seats make all the difference too, plus you get niceties like the sport auto and maybe sport suspension based on the spec.

Also, that red bar might be one of my favorite touches after having it a year! I have an earlier one that lacks it on the doors, but and planning to swap in the red from a later model, I like the red/black more than the blue/black offered on the m sports

I have that piano black, albeit with the brushed aluminium trim instead of red. It picks up scratches and marks quite easily, but in terms of look, it’s quite undertoned and subtle.

Red on black works IMO and the seats are super comfortable, with no wear on mine after 50k+ (matching white trim seats not red).

As above, that’s a sport trim with a upgraded steering wheel. The M sport has suede looking seats.

Well, the car is advertised as an M Sport, and it's pretty loaded generally. Just not seen anything other than dakota leather or merino before.

Thanks, that's really useful. I've always thought the dakota leather never felt very 'leathery', having had two previously.

It's also got a red starter button which again I've never seen before.

In a world of endless 3 series, I quite like the idea of its uniqueness.

Red starter will either be the OEM M one retrofitted (they just pop out etc) or someones put an eBay sticker cap on it..

I retrofitted the OEM BMW M red starter into my F31 along with the OEM BMW CF/alcantara interior trim as didn't really like the alu trim and a few bits had some marks too etc

Just be a bit careful; when I was looking for my 3 series I saw a car which was advertised as an MSport. It wasn't, it was a Sport.
I don't think it was deliberate - I think seller just didn't have a clue and assumed a sport was an MSport.

It’s very easy to tell if you post a pic of the back of the car. I also have Tanzanite…one of the best colours when well maintained!

Below is the M sport bumper

Very much looks like a sport interior, sister in law had the same colour combo in a 1 series Sport.

Right, here it is. What do we think? I’m going to give it until Monday, and if it’s still for sale and there’s enough love for it on here I’ll have it!

Deffo an M Sport

Just not keen on that interior personally... The red, for me, clashes...

Each to their own

Memory might be failing me but I seem to recall the standard M sport trim was a blue stripe and Sport trim was a red stripe.

However, wheels brakes, exterior trim seems to point to M Sport.

Definitely an M sport but maybe someone had a preference for the Sport interior…I’m quite sure that wouldn’t be offered at factory as the M sport cloth interior is a suede/hex blue to match the aluminium and blue stripe trim.

Strange one!

This is what's confusing me. Is it possible that someone's lifted a whole interior? Does that even happen anymore?

The bright red around the red start button will have to go for sure!

Regardless of how the interior came to be there its more about do you like it, if not walk on by or accept you'll have to spend £££ to swap it yourself, on what seems an already fairly strong money car for a 2016 330d with 80k miles, but hey, thats the used market now

Depends on the interior; it works fine with mine as it's black & alcantara

But agree, it doesn't work in that F31 on AT at all

The 2 front ditch finder tyres would have to go ASAP too IMO

TBH that interior just looks really out of place in that car; either someone was colourblind; or as you said, the whole interior may have been swapped out...

The gloss black parts are horrible too; none of it 'gels' IMO

It doesn't suit the exterior of the car either...

Have you any others you're looking at?
